The Dining Club on Marella Explorer. Food heaven or food hell?

HI. This is so helpful as we are cruising for the first time on Saturday on the explorer. So will definitely book the fine dining and I find all your videos so helpful and thanks for showing the menu. I hope we are able to get a booking.

Cheers Chris, wow your cruise is so close, great way to start the new year. You should have no problem in booking the Dining Club as long as you do it on the first night on board, you will be able to do it on the Navigate app or just go to the Dining club and book from there. Think the price puts a lot of people from going but for something special we found it well worth the money. Sometimes you have to spoil yourself. Hope you have a fabulous time and enjoy Marella as much as we do. 🚢🚢🚢🌞🌞🌞🍹🍹🍹😎😎😎

That was a good deal for the meal you all four got. As a vegetarian I saw a good option as well. I keep an eye on Marella, you guys keep tempting me with your Marella content. It seems great value for what you pay.

Speciality restaurants are a choice you make. We think they are well worth paying the extra which is certainly not unreasonable. Makes for a very special evening and a lovely standard meal as well. Dining Club in our experience was superb! 🙂

The dining club looks impressive, was that with the wines, as in the taster menu? We just did the silver fork taster menu on voyager, the accompanying wines for each course were amazing.

Hi Mazza. I was a bit worried about The Dining Club. I absolutely loved Silver Fork on Voyager but had read a bad review of The Dining Club on Explorer. Well i absolutely loved my meal there, in fact we all did. Same level as Silver Fork and 100% recommended. WE didn't do the wines. We have the odd glass but are not big wine drinkers, imagine the pairings to the meals on the tasting menu would be really nice though.🙂🍹🙂

The tui office local to me said the WiFi packages you pay for are for in room and on ship generally, but there are certain areas (when we go) we're on explorer 2, that have free WiFi. You guys heard of this before? Be great as I have to take work with me! X

Hi, We have been on 3 Marella ships now but unfortunately not Explorer 2. We have never heard of any free wifi on any of the ships or free wifi areas. I think Marella make too much money off their wifi packages to make free wifi available so i find this very unlikely. I paid for the highest package when we went on our first Marella cruise, the wifi was extremely slow and my package had run out by the 2nd day so i would never buy another internet package with Marella. What i would suggest is you look for a Marella Explorer 2 group on facebook and pose the question in there. Sorry i can't answer any better but hope you sort something out.
