Thanks so much for posting this. I remember seeing this travelling exhibit in Connecticut around 1997 and loved it (first time seeing a Giganotosaurus replica skull) but was disappointed they didn't have the life size TRex they used in the movie(s). I eventually found them at a now defunct museum in Hollywood CA called Icons of Darkness where they had the actual animatronic heads of the TRexs from the Lost World and the spinosaurus from JPIII. They have some videos of them on youtube.

Fantastic video! There was some CG story boards I had not seen before (Roland tranquillising the rex) and the footage of Goldblum talking about the history of extinction.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!! I visited this exhibition with my family at the San Diego Natural History Museum in about 1998 or 1999 I think? I have a few photographs of the exhibits that I took with my little cheap wind-up camera. I also remember being awestruck at the size of the Giganotosaurus skeleton, and even as a young child seeing it and thinking “Wait, that’s not a T.rex…”

Glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah, I was lucky I found a way to transfer this footage or it would have been lost to time! Especially for the "Extinction Theater" stuff at the end with Goldblum!

I remember seeing this exhibit long ago and seeing the Giganotosaurus skeleton and thought to myself " I wonder if they'll show that monster in a Jurassic film" and here we see it in Jurassic World Dominion

5:58 Ok, in my opinion, this part of the video is the most interesting, As you can see, they are concept arts and 3D models of The Lost World Jurassic Park on PS1. And one of these concept arts is very rare, that of Staurikosaurus, as it has the colors of the final version of the game.

That exhibit seems Amazing. Fossils, Statues, and a Goldblum show. I would have loved to have seen it.

I have been looking for this for years. I don't even know what to say right now. I mean, I think this is the right thing. I saw this exhibit at the Natural History Museum in NYC in 1997. I was 6 years old. I remember I got scared during Goldblum's presentation video and made my dad take me out. I have wondered for 24 years what the rest of that video was. I can't believe this video footage exists. Thank you so much for this.

I'm so happy you found this, then! I recorded this myself when I was a kid, seeing it in San Diego. This is the kind of reason why I uploaded it; for people like you to find it and have a nice memory brought back to life. :)

@@JurassicTime You have no idea what this means to me. I have been searching for this for years. I've reached out to Dino Don Lessem to see if I could purchase a copy of his Exhibit Guide. I even went so far as to try to locate slides of the exhibit on the NYC Natural History Museum archive. Thank you for what you do to preserve the history of these things for the rest of us.

Where did you get that beautiful rendition of the Trespasser theme? I never heard of the Anniversary edition of Jurassic Time. As I mentioned before it is a sad sad shame that Trespasser is no longer canon as a lot of contradictions were made in that awful movie Fallen Kingdom.

Check out my playlist on this channel to watch the entire Anniversary Edition of Jurassic Time: The Memoir of John Parker Hammond. The end credits features the same Trespasser music piano rendition, done by Bernard Kyer, that is heard in this video.

It's a shame that the film that came out after this was the ever awful Jurassic Park III. Jesus Christ that movie sucked! It also nearly killed the franchise for a while.
