His take on filmmaking is so inspiring. "Money is not a creative obstacle, your mind is the creative obstacle." - Such wise words.

Only God Forgives is great because it doesn't let silly little things like plot or dialogue get in the way of the film. It's pure cinema. Style is substance.

And to me, Only God Forgives WAS the M.O.T.Y. In fact, it was my favourite Refn film ever. And that is exactly the power that the movie holds, a firm divide between the movie community.

wish this film had a larger distribution in - only one independent cinema house is playing it in SD... Anticipating this after drive!

Plus - there's a reason why Directors should every once in awhile say No to an Actors suggestion. For example: Apparently Gosling came up with the idea of feeling inside his mothers stomach in OGF...really? Why? Seriously why.

thegrimyeaper Well, I don't know him personally, but his view on violence (interviews) is rather peculiar.

If you like deep movies, you can also go check Andrei Tarkovski and Ingmar Bergman.

Oh where did it all go wrong Mr. Winding Refn?(in regards to Only God Forgives) The film had M.O.T.Y potential bit I guess something must have happened while they were half way through shooting. A lot is missing from the script.

Only God Forgives is leaked and can be torrent right now. The movie isnt that good. Refn is just trying to hard for shock value. Drive was great and so was Bronson. Only God Forgives is the worst of Refn's movies.
