the "swordsman" type is actually the slasher type not all slash characters or swordsmen are on the slasher type its purely a PVE mechanic some units fill the requirements of multiple types so the devs give them the type that is more beneficial to the PVE meta

Im plaing ranked only for rewards nowadays, and I do it by stepping over myself tbh, cuz I'm not interested in it anymore, the only reason that can make me enthusiastically start playing ranked is the addition of new ranks, above grandmaster, cuz grandmaster is no longer an indicator of good play, absolutely anyone can get it. I miss the first ranked seasons, where the difference between ranks was significant.
