Any royal member is related to other royal members, no matter the country. That is because they all marry amongst themselves. Except for the plebes that are now being brought to the royal families. At start of First Wold War you had three kings that looked like they were brothers: Germany, Englnd and Russia. They were cousins but were too damm similar. Two of them were so similar that it was as if they were twins. Even today it is difficult to say who is who in an old photo.

I was reluctant to view this at first because as a rural hillbilly U.S. Southerner we have often been accused of having family trees that didn't branch. I was prepared to be outraged but found this presentation to accurately present the truth about genetics. By the way, the Hapsburgs were rightly mentioned but has anyone traced the geneology of the British noble classes? My own American ancestry is mostly unknown because very few records were kept for people of their station in the early years of colonization, but they seem to include people from much of western Europe as well as some Native Americans, if I had impregnated one of my first cousins there should have been a genetic safety buffer built in. That never happened even though all of them grew up to be exceptionally attractive young women. If we ever launch multi- generational starship colony ships it would be easy to include genetic diversity in the form of frozen sperm and ova; I would think the greater danger would be that the would go mad and kill each other.

Then Z dies, so he marries his own daughter X. She's (X )is the product of he (Y) and his own sister (Z), ok? So Y marries his daughter X and they gave birth to the man in question, whose name I missed because I was too blown away. After someone liked it and I was notified, I reread it and found that I screwed it up and it sat that way for a week. Sorry folks. Anyway, that's how messed up it is. @@vhawk1951kl I'm sure you know better than all our scientists 😂 Evolutionary theory has been proven time and time again, via direct observation and the most solid of predictions. Anyways, Evolutionary theory actually shows much the opposite - aside from literally the first microorganisms, we do not *have* to be inbred. Since evolution is a gradual process and we did not "suddenly become humans", there was probably just some colony of anatomically modern humans that bred, and there did not have to be 2 "first" humans. To think so is honestly absurd from an evolutionary standpoint. There was a moment around 70,000 years ago where it's estimated that due to a supervolcano only ~1000 humans were left. Inbreeding probably happened, as this was probably not one big colony of one thousand people and you need that full 1000 people to maintain genetic diversity by some estimates. Unlike creationism, which claims that we are descended from 2 people, and also claims that every single animal today is descended from just 2 of its kind. (Adam and Eve, Noah's boat) I don't think you really understand your own position, Peter.

@@Nanamka Both species took advantage of the others females for sport or circumstance (village raid, trade, ambush). Each considered the other "ugly" but an acceptable receptical "to relieve ones needs". Animal sex was not desireable but present and Neanderthals we're considered animals as it was. Cross-breeding brought about deformities of their own, but over 40,000 years, most have been bred out or absorbed. Similar to Australia's position years ago that they would "breed the blackness" out of the Aborigines by placing them with whites. Nowadays the cultures are splitting more rapidly as blacks and whites combine, Asians with Europeans, Chinese with Hispanic, the resulting children as diverse as ever! Except for North Koreans. They're a little different and unique in avoiding polluting their countrys gene pool. Have a great life cousin!!

I do not know. Incest is rather cringy. However, I have a really hot first cousin that is suffering from a broken heart that suggested I visit her trailer and bring her some moonshine, a moon pie, a clean pair of panties, and wear a Richard Petty hat. She said she wanted for me to help her forget her boyfriend that went to prison for making the meth lab in her bathroom. Poor girl. I think I will paint a number 43 on the side of my car, get the moonshine, the moon pie, a clean pair of panties, and wear the Richard Petty hat for her. It is the least a concerned cousin can do for her.

This is fascinating stuff. I am the descendant of 1800's Mormon polygamists on both sides of my family and there were several occurences of a man marrying both a wife and daughter pair, and members of the separate families marrying and having children. I don't have a family tree- it's a family wreath, and even 6 generations later there are a handful of health problems. Edited to add: I do not endorse polygamy and I do not support inbreeding, and many of my cousins and I have actually gone out of their way to avoid marrying relatives, which is hard in some of the more rural predominantly LDS communities.

@@alexfelton4934 Which in this particular case is a fancy way of saying inbred. Ever wonder why purebred dogs have so many genetic defects and conditions? This is the reason. People Habsburged bulldogs into existence, a breed which often has about as many serious genetic problems as the later end of the actual Habsburg dynasty, not the least of which is difficulty breathing since it's literally genetically made to have a smashed-in nose. Interesting little factlet: the distance from the Earth to the Sun is known to astronomers as an "Astronomical Unit" (AU). The ratio of 1 AU to 1 light year is almost identical to the ratio of one inch to one mile. This means that if you draw a dot roughly the thickness of a human hair, then another dot half that thickness one inch away, the furthest humans have ever travelled from the earth is from the centre to somewhere around the edge of that smaller dot. And Proxima Centauri is four and a quarter miles away.

8:55 *[enter Cheydinhal sanctuary] What is the color of the night? “Sanguine, my brother” [door opens]* Sanguine is deep red, the color. “Con” is “ to be with” . So to be with your same blood. What a great word

I just want to point out an error, It's actually the bottleneck effect you have referred to in your example with the island of Pingelap because the genetic drift has been caused by a random natural disaster, whereas the founder effect is due to migration of a population.

It could be happening right now on Sentinel Island, following the massive Indonesian tsunami a few years back. No one knows for sure how badly that island was affected.

@@matthewweeks2362 I'm not sure I understand. The name of my account doesn't desolidify the value of my argument. I may be a drummer, but does that inherently devalue the worth of my intellect? I think not.

Matthew Chandler I’ve lived in Alabama my entire life. Never met anyone who is inbred, never met someone who knows someone who’s inbred, etc. I don’t doubt that it happens, but it’s not definitely not common. I’ve heard this joke my whole life and yeah, it’s really old and lost it’s humor years ago.

This is actually a ridiculously complex subject. For my finals projects in highschool, I tried to design a bunker for the apocalypse to help humanity survive (ambitious, I know). For that, I needed to find out how many people would have to be in it in order to kickstart a healthy population to repopulate earth. At first, I figured I could cobble together some magic number of succes, but after some research, I found that I couldn't even begin to understand the intricacies of repopulation. In the end, I just came up with a random number. 234. I got a B.

So many Alabama jokes, so few jokes about Islam, even though it's a way more common *phenomena' within that religion and its countries.

@@SerenityM54L2SAM5L5N1 lol what?. Incest doesn't have to do with religion. If someone does incest why do you always have to bring it on religion. Im not muslim but I'm sure that many muslims dont infact do it. The only ones that I heard do it are kids and families that are in conflict like on Syria Palestine and Yemen and Kashmir. And I'm also pretty sure that islam only allows 1st cousin marrige. And that is only if their is like a crisis. Which sounds pretty reasonable to me as long as the kids are not forced into marrying.
