Stoked to see this - recognised your kit! I think I was swapping turns with your partner for the final 50km. I had a few mishaps in a row around 180km and lost a bit over an hour, but happy to get over the line. Definitely want to go back for another crack! Great wrap-up vid, keep it up mate

Cheers for the kind words! Ahh yes, you missed a checkpoint? I saw you at the bottom of one of the hills and felt bad when you said what had happened! Makes for a long day! Will definitely be back for another crack! Was a great race!

Hi mate, very useful video. Did you run 35mm tyres in 2023? How did it go? Would you still recommend 35mm if raining. Coming down from Brissy i will have to select my tyres and take my chances. I normally run 45mm but might swap them out before the Boonah and try something leaner.

Great video I have entered for 2023 I am going to run 35mm tyres but wondering what gears to run what would you recommend? Cheers
@getkoachd Жыл бұрын
Cheer Sam! I ran an 11-34 Cassette with 46/30 upfront. Not once did I think I needed lower gearing to climb. And having 46-11 was great on the long flat section! What were you thinking of running?

@@getkoachd yeah similar probably 11-32 cassette and 46/30 will do some experimenting in the winter. Cheers

Great video! What’s the skinniest tyre do you think you could get away with?
@getkoachd2 жыл бұрын
I ran 42mm for this but next time I’m going to run 35 or 38mm next year. The trails are reasonably tame and not too chunky

What was your average watts for the day?
@getkoachd Жыл бұрын
Hey Terry, I didn't have a power meter on the bike unfortunately. My average heart rate was 140bpm - which is effectively Z2 for me. Did hit the 160's for some of the climbs where I was pushing to catch the main group. You can check out my data on Strava: www.strava.com/activities/8069870613
