The disappearing river at Loggerheads Country Park, near Moel Famau, Mold

Erin the archaeologist goes in search of a disappearing river in Loggerheads Country Park, near Moel Famau, Mold in North Wales. Often, when there is little rainfall and hot weather, the River Alyn in Flintshire and Denbighshire disappears deep beneath the ground, reappearing further downstream. Erin talks about the industrial archaeology which surrounds this phenomenon and some of the structures and archaeology still visible around the park

I was born in the midlands but love north Wales and have a day touring round there at least once a month I usually start at lake Vyrnwy then across the pass to Lake Bala down to Dolgoch Falls but you have shown me in your really interesting travels some great places for me to explore so thankyou so much
