I'm hereby protesting against the words "DISASTER" and "...Lived is Sad"! This is a story of very remarkable man who could handle victory and adversity in the same splendid way - this all into his final goal net. Probably an unachievable task for many; what a role model Jackie was to all of us.

I agree with your protest. Also describing Denis Law, George Best, Billy McNeill etc etc in the same manner. We all have sadness and disasters in our lives. They're the flip side of the coin that has VICTORY and JOY on the other side. And we all have them.

Why do you keep saying all these people ended up living sad lives. Its pure click bait and you should be banned

@jimmygm yes i aggree with you 100%. People that are misleading there uploads by telling lies just to get people to watch should be bannend. Its such a low thing to do. And about a good player that played at the top for at least 15 years, and won lots of cups with that great leeds utd team and also won the world cup with england. Then was a good manager as well, it should be called "the great life of jack charlton" ok he had dementia when he was much older, but thats what happens when people get old they become unwell, its part of life really! But what these people who make these uploads are doing is telling people about well known faces there life in reverse, as much as they can. Jack had a great life, sad, no chance! These uploads have to be stopped its not fair talking about the dead when its mostly all crap with wrong names and dates. When he talked about jack he showed alot of pictures of bobby charlton but tried to pass bobby down as jack becouse they did look alike apart from the height. And when bobby had a man utd strip on, the guy that put this together was really throwing all he could to it, to make it look much better rather than be honest from the start. Showing 10 photos in the space of 20 seconds, but at least 5 were bobby, and thats bobby moore lol no joke, he did but. And showing his brother bobby scoring great goals from the 66 world cup but talking about jacks role in the world cup as if it was jack that was scoring all those goals. He did an upload about bobby too not that long ago. And bobbys was just the same but worse as bobby charlton was one off the greatest players i have ever seen.

A significant number of central defenders and attackers seem to suffer dementia in later life. Unlike Jack however I never remember Bobby being a noted header of the ball yet he also suffered the condition in later life.
@merson81211 ай бұрын
Bobby was not a noted goal scorer with his head, however, his headed goal against Benfica in the final was a classic. That said, the training regime all of these wonderful professionals were forced to endure in terms of heading practice was brutal. Players like big Jack, Jeff Astle and Bobby were no doubt exposed many times during each and every training and practice session.

THIS HAS TO STOP !!!! People Saying how great players lived sad lives, just to make money on youtube! Whats sad about being a top footballer then manager for most of his life? He won every throphy with leeds except the european cup and maybe two or three others. But jack won alot of cups with leeds utd plus the world cup with england and leeds were a great team for years, in the 1960s they won more than man utd, liverpool, chelsea, man city, arsenal, spurs, everton and more, ok man utd did win the european cup in 1968 and should have in 1966, but george best got a nasty bad injury to his knee just before the semi final and george was really struggling to do anything great in the way george best did to win man utd a game on his own. And it became clear even after 5 to 10 minutes into the game, It should say the great life of jack charlton. I didnt rate him that much tbh, he just depended on his height to win the ball, at 6'4" tall. And a dirty player, well it was leeds he played for? they were all dirty players. George best said leeds were the only team he wore shin guards against. Jack used to stand on the goal keepers feet when he went up for corners, and in those days most keepers if not all were between 5'10" to 6'0" tall, and that was considerd big. If he was 6ft he would never have stood out as a player, players like george best would beat him in the air easy, and george still did. George beat 6'3" ron yates in the air, and george was just 5'8" 05. Thats 7 inches shorter, that is alot of height btw. But it was the way george beat big ron yates who played at liverpool. Big ron went up for a corner kick for liverpool and george went back to help, as the ball came over even big bill foulkes at 5'11" looked small next to big ron yates, so the ball came over and was perfect as big ron just had to jump and inch or two to score, it was what liverpool always did when against a team that didnt have a player over 6ft, most teams did it. And as ron jumpend to score.. all of a sudden george best flew up infront of him and not only just beat big ron yates from scoring but it was the power that george put into the header, he didnt just knock it up or just away but he cleared it well away and out of the box and at least got 25 yards on it. My friend who saw it said "i couldnt believe the way best got up so high to get the ball so far away out of any danger and they were both near the penalty spot, about 10 yards out from goal. Then against liverpool a year later man utd got a corner and big ron got up to clear it away but george beat him to it to put a brilliant header into the net, the keeper had no chance, a dont think he even seen it coming. Big ron said to denis law "who the hell was that there" and denis said "his names bestie and you will be seeing alot more of him" best scored two and was brilliant that day as man utd beat liverpool 2-1 george tore liverpool apart that day. George always played great against liverpool, he would usually score one or two and would mostly beat them during the 1960s. George would put the ball through big rons legs at least twice in one game and do it to others as well. He really made them look bad, as if it was a kick about on some street. In 1967 when george scored two and ran over a great liverpool team at anfield, that even the liverpool fans were wanting george to get the ball as nobody had seen a player play like this before ever in britain and even in europe or the world as george just kept putting it through there legs or go past hardend players as if they werent there. After the game in the dressing room bill shankley just stood as his players were very quiet at what had just happend and on there home ground. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife, it was as if they didnt know what to say or even do as they really had been embarrest more than just well beaten and could only say "sorry" to there boss, as they all eyed each other up, the way players do when beaten. "its ok theres no need to feel ashamend lads" said bill shankley after a long 5 minutes of silence, wich feels like an hour, as i have been there and its not nice, you just want to get away as fast as you can, but not on the same level as these guys, but its just the same horrible feeling and at times arguments break out as who didnt do what to who or who did what to who but shouldnt have. And even to fights almost breaking out. So bill said "becouse yous have just been beaten by a genius, there is nothing to be ashamend at. Becouse at times there isnt much any one can do against a genius like that, so dont feel ashamend lads, players like him dont come around that much so just feel glad the fans had the joy of watching what they saw today as they probably wont ever see the likes of that again". That is what bill shankly said that day to his players after george best ran over them so easily and didnt go down when brutally kicked from the waist down, how could any crowd of fans not enjoy that sort of play and entertainment. And liverpool and man utd were bitter enemies and still are. But so many liverpool fans loved to watch best play, and they said when i watched this genius play in the flesh home and away all through the 1960s he was the greatest player in the world. And so many liverpool fans that used to go and watch best play in the flesh addmit he was the greatest they had ever seen, as watching some one from the stands for 90 minutes is far better than watching them on tv for 10 minutes later that night as the highlights leave so much out as the 'match of the day' is only allowed to show around 10 to 15 minutes of about 4 games. Rip george and thancks for the memories!!!! You made football look so much fun and easy to play when i was just a kid.

Wish the tile of the video could be changed we will all succumb to the effects of old age and hard to cure diseases towards the end. 'Big' Jack was a lion in defence and had a great heart not just for the game of football but generally in life, Still does not get enough credit for his international career, but was the engine in defence for a long time at Leeds. MOT! he will never be forgotten!⚽⚽
