the riff that begins at 48:00 was worth the price of admission alone. My buddy k5 and I were in the walkway during that part dancing by the back of the seats and i remember looking down over the crowd and it was one of those moments where the whole arena is all in the zone together.

stopped by because i've had Evolve stuck in my head all weekend. man this has got to be one of their strongest debuts ever, yeah? i was thinking about how they played Evolve a couple of times after this, and then botched it pretty bad and sort of demonstrated how quickly things could fly off the rails and get out of hand pretty quickly when backtracks are involved. also shows how tight they can be as a unit when they get it right. and to play a new song like that 3/4 into the show at the Mann is ballsy af in my opinion. But they really executed this night! good stuff from the band here.

Just got back from the run. The first night was a MONSTER(sound was a little loud/off, but straight dance party). Loved the "running theme", and night two was a different animal. It was fun with a tractorbeam in each set for sure. I think the highlight of this was the dribble and goblins>TB.

a very solidly played set guys, thx for the music and to the filmer and uploader, captured really solidly as well, i really enjoy how the entire stage environs are captured, giving proper context to the experience the band is having while performing. i really wish they would come to california again, its been 11 years since i last saw them at the catalyst here in town. it would be so dope for a redux set here in what was also their former home of Santa Cruz... hell ill take any norcal shows, as long as they arent super pricey festy sets or sf & la only... much more rad to see live music in the smaller, yet just as vibrant towns, like sc, slo eureka and north lake tahoe, etc. anyway, nicely done all around. cheers.

afaik, they've never done inverted Abraxas -> Story. i found that to be a pretty ambitious segue. Had to modulate 3 1/2 steps down to get to Story, yet excellently done!

thanks Ian. if i'm not mistaken, most of the stuff from the LMA, which is where Relisten pulls it's sources of material, is audience recordings, and usually uploaded by the taper themselves in accordance with Plan C or w/e it is. i really haven't looked into it much. Anyway, the vast majority of what i upload aren't AUD recordings. every once in a blue moon i'll upload a remaster of an AUD from a show that has no sbd recordings. or if a matrix recording exists of a show i like or gets requested, i've uploaded those as well. Technically, *those* could go on Relisten. if you've read this far, and you'd like a FLAC or mp3 of the show, i could help with that i'm sure
