This movie should be categorized as "Educational" so people can see why Congress is so close to a snake pit, and it's almost impossible to get anything done.. @@everett79 this is in the context on today barley anyone talks about this movie today and that is a crime in my opinion so that’s why it’s underrated to me. Now yes it made money but it was panned by critics of the day and was pushed back by the often mentioned movies of which are too many to list here but anyone wants to can look up them selves. That year alone had 30 -40 movies that get mentioned all the time and that’s not dig at them but this movie has basically been blackballed that general public forgot it exists and it’s never on TV 📺 . This is why I always make sure to show this movie to those who haven’t seen it so it stays alive. also it’s weird that it never got blu ray release when other movies from that same year that made far less money 💰 did.

My father and I used to watch this when I was in middle school, we used to laugh about how ridiculously outlandish these scenarios were. I can still watch it and laugh, but it's an eerie uncomfortable sort of humor. This film has become a dark comedy. I can't believe what has happened.

This movie is dripping with everything 90s. From the genre and writing to the costume designs and music (especially the steel drums at the end). I was in my early 30s when this came out in theaters (1996), but am just discovering it now (5/15/24) even though I was a fan of Eddies back in the day. I appreciated the trip down memory lane in a movie I enjoyed more for the overall nestalgia then the movie itself. Worth at least one watch IMHO...

wow such an underrated movie I loved how it was made, from the get go the way its shot is very good and the acting. Eddie murphies charms keep you captivated and the story was very well executed. Definitely on of my favourite films about corruption, another great one is the The Campaign with Will Ferrel. But I think this one might be better as it feels more believable.

Even tho it was comedic, a lot of the message in the movie is exactly how Congress is, even today! Great job Eddie Murphy 💯🕺🏽🎥🍿🏆🏅🏆👏🏽👍🏽❤️😀🤗🤣 I've eatched this movie 3 different times.

Movies of this type are harder to copy than "Disney" films. And we all know that (Disney) is only about money. Could the difficulties be about something other than MONEY?

I'm Italian, married with an american citizen, that lived all his life until 12 year ago in USA, I grew up with this movie showed normally on national television, He never heard about it I show the movie to him..... ahahaha

One of the best if not THE best satirical comedy I've ever seen. I e viewed this movie before but, had to vie it again. There are so many hysterical scenes but, the hunting scene is fantastic. Of, course, Eddie Murphy is terrific and so are the other familiar actors! Enjoy!

Great film. Only one point in this film. you would also have to add the press media to the line of crooks to give it more realism. But never the less very enjoyable film. Thank you for posting.

Because at the time it wasn't the case. For example, CNN was launched in the 80 ties. They weren't the worldwide powerhouse institution they are today. Fox News only launched in 1996...
