Interesting 🤔 Year four and I’d never seen a 13%PFE Mod. So I moved all 12% to another character - carried all the max mods I did have and got my first 13%PFE solo in the open world. This happens with exotics too. If I open a crate, I almost always get the weapon or gear piece I’m NOT currently carrying. So I put my St Elmo’s onto character 3. Open exotic cache with character 1 - boom. St Elmo’s number 2. It’s not 100% but definitely feels like RNG is influenced by your current loaded database and it knows what’s missing.

Yeah, I might have to test this, definitely makes sense. Even sometimes I get identical items back to back. RNG is a little weird.

Awesome video. I have over 3000h, with a lot of that in Countdown, farming mods and still don't have a 13% PFE mod. But with 8 pers, 50+ runs and only 2 drop, maybe 1 in 250? and possibly up to 1 in 500 drop, in combo with my poor RNG makes sense. Thanks for this.

Over 3,000 hours and I just got my first max armor on kill mod in Countdown. They always drop one point shy of perfected.

Thanks for this! I would say in my personal experience, I "observe" the same rarities somewhat and I the point you make about "wanting" a mod more is spot on. If indeed the game system picks the mod type first, then it makes perfect sense that blue mods having so many options will make PFE so rare.

This video is wrong you know why? Because you don’t take into account that there are more people that go into countdown alone not solo but with Random players and you should be testing this per player so for example your self how many of those max pfe mods did you get yourself in those 24 hours? Probably none you shouldn’t be trying to do that math with other players helping you with loot so I say do it again but no help with loot by other people. By this: Max pfe mods per individual player ratio is so low that it makes it one of the rarest max mod in the game

OMG this was just for fun which is clearly stated. It is not an official scientific experiment that passes all codes of conduct. I myself have seen 6 max PFE mods as you are asking, someone else may have seen none. This is called RNG. This whole video and 24 hour stream was for fun. Just FUN

Heroic allows you to get better rolled gear. It works like a window though, just as an example... Normal you could get a roll of 1-12, hard 3-12, challenging 5-12, heroic 7-12. You could get a max roll playing any difficulty.

I had two Max Mods drop from one Chest in Countdown and a total of 4 within an hour of playing Countdown.

The issue I have with this test is it's based on the group's return. I would rather see what ONE player brought in within 24hours. This doesnt tell us anything at all being that MOST players do NOT play countdown with THEIR clan teams. Most players run countdown with random players meaning nobody is sharing anything and no idea what others got. Your test shows us a deeper math for a single player. You ran 24 hours with 6- 8 players so, what would the rng scale be as a person running ALONE or with a random go.

It was just a bit of fun. If you want to check what the solo stats are, get a pen and paper and run countdown for 24 hours. I can guarentee you that not one person would get the same stats as another one person because it is all based on RNG. I wanted to test "for fun" what mods would drop the most in a whole squad farming. I already know my individual experience. The test had interesting results in the way that we got every mod available to drop at a max roll. You would not get anywhere close solo, and it would be completely random as to what max mods you got. The only thing left to question as to how different it might be solo is if playing solo you would still get a pretty even max drop rate across red, blue and yellow. That again was a very interesting stat that was recorded.

@GCROCK I run countdown probably more than I should lol.(ps5) I've never done it 24hrs with one item though. God mods imo seem to have the worst drop rates vs gear or weapons. I feel I get better mods with other items targeted, could just be illusion. I also feel I get better rolled stuff in open world on heroic, again could be me.(god mods there have low rng too tho)

Hi... I have seen your video and with all due respect to you and all team members. What you said about the game choosing which mod to give you as a God roll is true.. But on a single solo player... I've done almost a 1000 runs of countdown back to back non stop for over a period of two weeks. I got all blue mods except pfe... All yellow mods... All red ones... And a lot of skill GR skill mods. 1000 runs and still farming it. No drops... I got 100 pfe 12 percent... About same 11 percent and same 10 percent. Your logic about the percentage drop is true. There is luck in getting a pfe mod specifically in blue pool as they are 11 in total. Your guy was simply lucky. Still farming and will update you on what I get.

The ones you have had low drop, I have many and they come out quite often. I have received many protection against elites, I have 3 characters with 3 each. And I have even given several away. Really, after 6600k hours of play I must say that nothing is strange if you farm daily. And surely you think the same. Greetings G!

I believe this too. My clan are all over 20k and I'm a piddly 1k and when I run with them, they get good rolls, maxxed mods, great gums. I get crap from the exact same Drop.

interesting numbers... thanks for sharing... but sorry, I swear max PFE mod is 100% the ficking rarest one!!! 😵‍💫 in more than 6500 hours in the game since release, I have got ZERO max PFE mod, not a single one man!!! All these chances are per characters... for example I have got a LOT of max pulse resistance (more than 10 in the first week of CD), but max PFE is the only one I have never seen drop for me... 😭

i have gotten 5 of every max mod in the game other than PFE, not a single 13%. most of them ive gotten more than 5 but im not exactly sure which mods and how many of them because they all just get dropped to teammates now. if we are talking about the rarest item in general id have to say that certain unicorn high end pieces are probably the rarest, i personally have rolled over 2000 HG chests and backpacks looking for the perfect roll and havent gotten it, ive spent way too much time making new characters and putting points into credits to buy and deconstruct HG pieces from vendors to craft backpacks and chests. the best Countdown run ive ever had in terms of max mods was 2 max bleed resists and a disrupt resist

I'd say its still quite active. A lot still to come too with a DLC next year. Clan wise, we run the biggest clan on the game which is all mamaged through oir Discord. We manage multiple clans across PS, XB and PC.

This video should only account for 1 player. Most people are solo queuing for count down. It’s insane that videos like this suggest that most people are playing with full teams, when in fact most people who play are solo players or in small clans. So what’s the chances of 1 person getting a PFE drop? I mean it’s a good idea for a video but very misleading
