I just started playing D2 like 2 weeks ago and other than the crashing/freezing I'm loving the game. To fix the crashes tho there is a fix, every time you start the game alt + tab, go into your task manager>details>EAC>set affinity core 1(or cpu 1 and cpu 2). Hopefully its resolved soon, but I have barely crashed since doing that, again EVERY time you start you have to redo it. Enjoy!

All we have on Division 2 now is just grinding items and farming mobs to gain expertise levels which sound new but actually doing the same things since launch. Might be good for new comers but I've been playing D2 since launch so I feel like this is my time to get off

Widdz in division 2, never thought I'd see it again. I'm in US East and I'm also thrown into Asia servers constantly for countdown. You're right, there's really nothing left to do other than chase picture perfect rolls to make builds and test them and then what? It's stale. But then again, that's how I've been feeling about almost all looter shooters at this point. Let's hope Worldslayer in Outriders gives it a shot in the arm. BTW thanks for your early coverage in the early Outriders days, you and Nick (Tew) were my go to guys.

As always you are completely right. I left this game after over 8000 hours of TD1 and TD2 together. Played Ghost Recon then which is better for snipers like me. And I think I won't come no matter what they will do with the Division. They just lost me on the way.

I have every piece of God roll yaahl gear for chc chd and hazard and crit because it's always been my favorite set. Different backpack talents and chest piece talents as well. Pulse resistance has always been good just even more viable now

Just got the game and put like 50 hours in so far. It's seems like there's zero incentive for me to play pvp because the rewards I get are scaled to my level but the enemy players are insanely overleveled. Some player came up to me with 800k armour and a 200k dmg auto shot gun with a shield and immediately killed me. My sniper does half the damage of his shotgun and I have 1/8 of his armour. Am I just completely missing some mechanic that's supposed to help me? Optimize has never been usable to me and I'm assuming I'll be able to use it at lvl 40.

Crit hit chance an dmg are key to have in pvp I have a 60% crit hit chance smg that melts rouges , my build is also focused more on dmg than armor or skill

I miss TD1 where there was more "class"-based setups. The tactical gameplay was more dominated in the first game and in PVP people was pretty slow moving and tactical because of how easy it was to get killed while soloing.

I played the crap out of Division 1, have always been between division and destiny 1/2 destiny 2 got stale for me recently and getting back into division 2 and burning through the campaign for like 2 weeks and barely hitting WT 2 today it’s super fun having this set aside to play, and the dlc is great since I haven’t even touched WONY yet, and all the story/grind content is great and fresh for people who haven’t touched it since release. This is one of those grinds that I actively have fun with.

@Widdz The crashes can be fixed, search Exploit in windows search and turn off all options for the division 2 launchers within the exploit options, its to do with DX12 and Windows 10.. it does not stop the crashes but it reduces them from 10 an hour to 1 every 3 or 4 hours.. Search the DX12 exploit crash fix on youtube.

I started playing division 1 a few days after the release and I never really quit until a half year ago. I made some breaks for other games but always went back because it was (ignoring the bugs) perfect and had everything. I loved (and still love) the environment and the mechanics, it was a great feeling walking through the dystopic streets of NY or playing survival. I loved the combining of PvE and PvP. Than they announced Div 2 and I thought I would become a great game....and I got disappointed. They threw away all experience they made through division 1 and made a complete new game. If it wouldn't be called division, maybe I would like it but it lacks of all the things the first part had. The city looks dirty, but not "the civilization collapsed dirty". For me, I had the "a beach holiday went wrong" feeling. All the mess on the streets doesn't look like it should be there and "grew" while the world collapsed, instead it looks like "let's add a lot of dirt to make it look dystopic". The mechanics changed (in my eyes) in a wrong direction. Running in div 1 was smooth, in div 2 it felt from the start like wearing a full diaper. I played far cry and watch dogs and it felt almost the same. Trying to match the "ubisoft-formula" in every game is easy tor all devs, you can take the code snippet and put it in every other game and save time while programming but for the player, it kills the "unique-status" of a game. They announced division 1 as a cover based shooter but it wasn't really one and in div 2 they did everything to force a player in cover. For PvE nice idea (but also boring in my eyes) but for PvP, it's a clear no. The fast PvP (and no, not strafing or so called chicken dance) was something I rlly loved. They removed it, trying to please PvE players,ignoring the PvP community which kept the game alive in his hard times. I was also disappointed about the communication with the community. Ubisoft lied to the community (and as a software engineer earning my money with programming, several years working in the game industry) stating division 1 is to broken to fix so they have to do a new one instead of expanding the old. Since this statement, 3 years passed and division 1 is still running. Sorry but I saw broken games and div 1 is far away from it. It was just a lie to defend that they didn't expanded Div 1 but developed a new game. The sales of a new game are much more productive than dlcs for an old game. And (as far as I know because I quit a few month after the second raid) the promised "a lot of content and support coming over the years" stopped after the second raid. Repeating seasons (which were bugged and couldn't be played because I finished them in the previous season) and a few new gears and cosmetics. Ubisoft is really good making promises and not holding them. Ubisoft disappointed in every possible way. 🤷‍♀️ Sorry for the long comment 🙈

I mean to be honest, I kinda like them testing systems now, get feedback from it, perfect it (if they are meant for whatever new title) than have them impliment it day 1 of whatever new game and then find outs broken or balanced incorrectly. Played through div 2, the bad out weighs the good. I switched to pc this year and bought div 1 again. The grind sucks but not as bad as div 2 and div 1 is just much more fun.

Atleast we got outriders Worldslayer coming June 28 and that seems pretty large DLC and honestly you seemed to enjoy that game widdz.. Div2 just never was able to satisfy me. Use to No life Div1 and when div2 came out, they just changed so much in a worse way which was my biggest issue. Div2 had some good pve moments like the legendary missions, raids,rogue air bots and warlords but again to much was changed for the worse outside that. I also feel the hunters where not done well and dont get me start on how keener died. To this day though i still cant get over the movement in Div2. Play any other game and then come back to Div2 and you feel like you have sandbags for shoes. Hopefully Div3 goes back to its roots and gives us back that special feeling that Div1 had. As for heartland. Oof

I do appreciate you for keeping it real on here about the state of the game. People tend to d*ck ride, though the game is in an absolutely bad state. Your conclusions aren't wrong. That said, I play it for the Tetris like calm I can get from the Open World encounters, and I am guessing that is what others find alluring as well. Wish Massive and their Ubi overlords understood what people gravitate towards and offer it up. Div 1 still tugs at my heartstrings more. They need to recapture the desolation, desperation and grit IMO. And give the PvP crowd a huge area to play in with gear that isn't balanced via PVE or vice-versa.

Dark zone's purpose should be for PVP and the adrenaline rush you get from getting loot with a high risk of having it stolen from you. When the developers throw items that are excellent for PVE and make it dark zone exclusive, the developers create discord in the community between the PVP and PVE players. Remove great PVE items from being exclusive to Dark Zone and add great gear for PVP players that are exclusive to Dark Zone.

The Discord was already in division 1. I don't know how many times I got angry messages after killing someone at the extraction that cI destroy the game because I kill someone while farming", "I'm not playing right because I kill ppl", "I should go and play a PvP game because it isn't okay to disturb ppl while farming" and so on. A lot of PvE players I met thought (in division 1) that the Darkzone is a strict farming area. And no, it wasn't only at the beginning, it was through all years. It was always a awTF moment when I got such messages (the best WTF moment was getting a cheater accusation because they were doing PvE and it's not possible to kill someone while farming without hacking...) As long as PvE and PvP content are mixed up, there will always be Discord.

@@abdoubijoux5238 It's really not worth it at this stage in the games life cycle imo, maybe for new players sure. I've had nothing but love for the game - PvE only player here. There's just not enough and grinding out "perfect" rolls to create picture perfect builds gets really stale, especially when its the gameplay loop of 3 other games I'm playing. I couldn't even convince 3 friends of mine, who own the game + warlords to come back to try countdown. I defended Division 2 for a long time and I still stand by the fact that it's got some of the best QoL features of any of the looter shooters but that's not enough to sustain it. It needs new content. it needs at bare minimum a Warlords sized expansion. It's needs what we hope Worldslayer will be for Outriders. In reality, it needs Division 3. Since the new update, things in the game have been an unstable mess. BTW I'm not trying to take away from your love of or enjoyment of the game just offering up my opinion/thoughts if you still love it that's awesome, I wish I could.

I don’t understand why Massive thought it was worth spending all the hours on PvE content that only last a few months tops, instead of introducing quality PvP content that would last the life spam of the game. Also, I would have paid for a good quality PvP DLC like a DLC dark zone that is bigger with interesting events within the DZ. The problem with Division 2 is their team of developers lack creativity, they alway have. The community have a tone of quality ideas for PvP. If I was in charge I could turn PvP around instantly, it’s not that bloody hard.

Love the game but the grind is stupid especially being a pvp player I like pve I just hit expertises 20 now the grind for exotics is ridiculous because when you expertises your weapon or gear peace each peace needs 55 exotic components to reach expertise lvl 20 I worked it out you need over 18000 exotic components to make each weapon and gear peace expertise lvl 20

Problems in division 2 pvp can be summarized in these 5 things: 1. Shrapnels and glue 2. The ttk is too fast and it barely affords outplays, even as I strafe around 5-6 people wether or not im good enough to win does not matter, it all depends on how many medkits I have. 3. Skill builds should be murdered, shadow nerfed to death. 4. Movement speed 5. The incredible amount of materials needed to upgrade in order to stay competitive

I played both games for many hours. I like grinding for loot. They give way too much loot. Way too much. All they need to do is add a couple of decent weapons or gear pieces to the general loot pool that have a low low drop rate. People would come back to grind for the impossible loot. It's a simple process. I would come back.

As someone that has played both games since release I still hop on Div2 from time to time just to burn some time with some friends, the game Is In an absolute garbage state and there's an endless list of things that Infuriate me that still happens. But The Division Franchise Is the only real 3rd person looter shooter that has kept my Interest for this long, so seeing It go down the drain like this Is super sad. I hope they pull their fingers out of their ass and start not only fixing the damn game but also communicating a little more with their community. Like wtf the LEAST you could do Is talk to your community and let everyone know how the progress with fixing different things are going, everyone Is just sitting In the dark waiting for a "potential" fix for game breaking Issues. It pisses me off to no end, people aren't voicing their opinions about the game because they "hate" It the are voicing them because they like It and want It to Improve. No one should defend the shit state the game Is In right now Infact we need more people to start saying something, padding them on the back and telling them that It's all good does ZERO for the game. God please for the love of god show the community you care just a little bit for once. PS: I actually like the Expertise system, It made me pull out shit I never thought I'd ever play with. But this doesn't count as "content" In my book. So It brings nothing to the game without something new on the side to do also.

WONY added little in the way of content and made the grind exponentially worse. It also added content that was, statistically speaking, impossible even for most hardcore players, where Massive pretty much admitted that cheating was the only way to reliably clear some of the content. After finding out that there was clearly bias against the average player vs streamers and youtubers who have even admitted to cheating and the fact that Massive had them whitelisted, players shouldn't return. Not gonna be nice about it, it's not cool and it's shady as fuck. TD is dead, it died the week they forced rollbacks. And Streamers/Massive collectively wombo combo's it right after by cheating, getting insider info, and lying to the playerbase about it for a year. Ya get what ya deserve. 🤷‍♂️ "If there is anything even remotely worth it, the community will..." Well, I mean, if tons of youtubers didn't cheat while using new weapons that were baseline "decent" to make them seem OP af to help as ads for the game, maybe the community wouldn't have an overtly knee-jerk reaction to said content due to false perceptions? Just a thought.

When they did patch 1.8 on div1 I knew they were basically going to take a giant dump all over pvp moving forward on any game they make. Sure enough first week in to div2 and they proved it that it would always be garbage. No matter what kind of nonsense grind pve they add it will always be nothing but absolute garbage. They put the game on auto pilot so so so so so so so long ago. They killed the franchise and they and most game development studios in the last 5 years have proven they are absolutely money grubbing monsters that simply don't care what so ever about producing something that is actually interesting or worthwhile. Name one game that is actually even worth playing for as long as any of us have played the original Division. Hell there are more people playing div1 pvp right now at any given second than there are in div2. Just look at the failures of every major franchise, every single major AAA title has had nothing but absolute garbage failed releases for years now. Also please for the love of god, nobody preorder games anymore. All the big preorder games all just end up being disaster flops. Anyone have any games that just aren't garbage that they would like to share?

pvp is better than what it was, for so long it was unbalanced and just bad, with the current changes pvp has been a lot more enjoyable. is it perfect? hell no but at least now there is a hard counter to every kind of build. people hitting you with bleed and fire, put on hazzy pro. if they are running heartbreaker, put on a pulse resistance build. using explosive seekers, then make you an explosive resistance build. again pvp is not perfect, but it is better. i will say i dont like the expertise system, it rewards people that dont have a life, that can play the game 24/7.
