I definitely agree that while Kelso has 'gone rogue', she's not betrayed the Division. All through her notes she was talking about how Faye was not a traitor and knew what she was trying to do, Kelso has just taken up her mantle. I personally think that she will work with Keener for a bit in preparation for taking on the Hunters, then she'll break cover and call us in to Brooklyn, kicking off the DLC. There could also be some interesting plot points of what tech/methods she will be using in a 'Do the ends justify the means?' way

The wildest thing my wife & I saw this season was a group of rogues actually saving civilians from a public execution. Granted in game the mechanics do say that rival npc factions will face off against each other but this was something that we never saw in all the years of playing division 2. Then we got the ending with the resurrection of keener. But did anyone notice the return of Major Mckenna from the Capitol Building mission? She was the named Rocket True Son that we fought on the rooftop while attempting to takedown Ridgeway. The Hunted novel and Vic gave the wildest idea of super science medicine that stuck out and seeing Mckenna alive made me think of that super science.

From a writing standpoint, it's clear they didn't think they'd get this far. So they have to do some fuckery to get the story to work. It is what it is Where I'd like the story to take us is maybe we get a new Base of Ops, surrounded by some completely new faces in Brooklyn. Maybe we're marked rogue, maybe ANNA is our OS in Brooklyn. Seems they're going the route of Destiny, where it's no longer light or dark (in this case, SHD or Rogue), and its about who you join to stop Natalya and Cal

Going out on a huge ass limb here. *cough* Alright, with them fully activating the rogue network and turning their hello kitty watch red, you ask what is it in the box? I believe and again, going out on a limb. I think that the box is what is needed to FULLY activate ANNA and essentially taking us away from ISAC. Theo and his homeboy (Keener) as mentioned needed time to finish their "work". What if the work they are talking about was putting the final touches in regarding to getting ANNA up and running 100%, SINCE the Black Tusks, The Division and the Hunters all work on the same network, in the end still allowing Natalya to track them in a way. But by fully utilizing ANNA this is now their way to still do their thing WITHOUT "big brother" knowing and or stopping them? Next, with us possibly going fully to ANNA, when we finished WONY we got our new hello kitty watch (from keener) that we were allowed those extra perks to it ( more chc,chd etc). NOW that we are FULLY utilizing ANNA, what if this allows us to REALLY take advantage? Meaning when the devs made talk about the specialization re-work and then put it on the shelf. What if they are using these next months to make it work and when the Brooklyn DLC drops, allows us to use the re-worked tree AND use 2 exotics at the same time wether it is 2 exotic weapons or 2 exotic gear pieces (hence fully utilizing ANNA) to take on Cal and Natalya. To fully utilize ANNA, they should bring back Div 1's specials to take the place of our specialization weapons within the Dark Zone. Make sense??? Whatcha think?

What if by making the Rogue Network active, it forces all Division agents to have their watch turn red, regardless if they went rogue or not? I say this for gameplay reasons that allow us to still retain access to settlements and the base of operations without having to turn against our allies. Would be interesting to see how it shifts the status quo if all Agents are forced to use ANNA.

I love this recap! There was a lot to take in in the Final Cut scene (and I was also distracted by having to pick up my jaw off the floor). There was a lot I missed and a lot more insight than I thought was there. I don’t mind that Keener came back, and I liked the fact that they used the dialogue “Agent is deceased” (instead of “Rogue Agent” is deceased) as a work around…. I thought it was cleaver and something that most people missed… thank you for the insight! Can’t wait for next season and beyond!!!!

Thats the thing did we really saw them die or was it just ISAC saying „Agent deceased“ they knew we rely on ISAC so much, so they tricked us with this because we didn’t make sure they’re really dead they came back at least that’s what I think. Since our agent relied on ISAC instead of checking for himself.

as Keneer said, we "saw" them die but we never confirmed if they were physically dead. All we did was let ISAC tell us that they were "Agent deceased." It is a flaw our Agent has being they depend on ISAC to tell them things as "confirmation". I honestly question alot before this event happened why our Agent never attempt to make certain they are dead by checking the body directly since ISAC is a AI and AI can be tricked with the right hacking and programs.

More importantly, Keener points out that we looked at his 'dead' body through our contact lens that we use for ISAC to give us information. This is how Theo faked his death, faked Keener's death, and just maybe faked a couple of others deaths of people like Conely and Viper who we are hearing a lot of comms of between Vanguard and Descent comms.

@@Whisperskyhawke this has been a concern I have with our Agent for a long time. Our Agent never seem to directly check the bodies. The other was the other flaws about ISAC that make our Agent not able to do things such as break into buildings and always have to enter through a already open location which they address in a descent audio log revealing ISAC would have mark our Agent rogue if he/she had done something like that. Obviously gameplay wise they wanted to limit our character's ability to explore for areas they never worked on but they actually made this into a lore reason. The more ISAC is shown through the past recent Audio logs and current ones, the more it looks like it has many issues that has and will cause our Agent trouble later down the line. It has been nice that the development team for the story been address a lot of gameplay limitations and old habits our Agent has and making it important to the Lore recently.

I agree. And to the folks saying "but but it's the tech," I'm sorry, but that feels like an incredibly easy macguffin that helps the writers just bring Keener back, which is really just because he was a popular character who players felt didn't get enough screen time. I get that they're trying to make it feel bigger, like "it's all part of a plan," but still. Most of the story is told through audio logs anyway. Keener isn't personally NEEDED to tell a story like that, in fact, I'd have more respect for Keener if he had PLANNED to die on Liberty Island, but left messages and aids in place, to get Kelso and US to follow his lead to accomplish a goal. Like, say, having us perform tasks for him posthumously that place US into the role leading Keener's allies to the ends he originally set forth, it would open the door to so many new gameplay elements...external agents to hire for recon, AI companions to give orders to, new mission types, objectives, goals, CHOICES, branching paths. Vs just...bringing him back and returning him to the playing field. It feels like the writers don't have faith in the rest of the cast.

To get the last Kelso note and the Vanguard backpack trophy, you need to set your world in normal and reset the manhunt. I've done it also in normal difficulty just to run through it. At the then you get the two missing collectives. It's legit. Cheers!

I initially collected the Kelso 5 comm, and was missing a different one. I did recieve the backpack charm after my first playthrough of the final Tanker level, even with 25/26 comms. I replayed the Tanker level to attempt to get the Hunter mask again. While playing I recieved the final comm after defeating the first named boss on the Tanker.

The shark has definitely been jumped, but I think you're absolutely right in that this is a different narrative team than when WONY was planned and they've (Lauren) done everything they can to work with what they had to get to this point. (Although we do know Kajika, Dragov, and Connelly did die since Viper and Keener discussed those deaths.) The question is what happens next. The video left no illusions that they're headed to Brooklyn which is where the DLC should be going, but we have to wait another year. Will this be mere padding? Or can they shift to still provide something meaty. I expect most people would buy a DLC, but there has to be something to do the story for people that don't. Of course, this does appear to contradict some of what is in the operation crossroads novels. In the books there is still stigma to being rogue. So whatever happened with Kelso, and potentially us, doesn't spread. Also, the Keener's Rogues we meet, both in books 2 and 3, are working to use the virus that Keener developed and the understanding is that it is against innocents. Does that make sense if Keener merely sees it as a tool in his war against Nat? At lest we know why Nat can't get her hands on a mobile SHD server. Theo got to most of them to set up Keener's rogue network. No wonder they actually know more about what is going on than we do. Last, Division 3 will be about taking the fight to BT and Cal. And we're likely Rogue in it. Thanks for the summary. It was certainly an interesting season story wise, if somewhat straight forward from a gameplay perspective.

There's also a reverse example of this, where we in DC know plenty about the Hunters, and the current timeline is shortly after Recruited. Yet by the time Hunted comes around, Maira & co. don't know who or what they are- and barely even know they exist. I wonder if the theme they're going for is that information and beliefs travel slowly in this apocalyptic setting

This was a fantastic video and thrilled that Keener is back! His death to me always seemed short and had no proper closure. I never truly saw Keener as a bad guy/villian. He was betrayed before we started The Division 1. He was part of that First Wave. As you said, it's a grey area, but I feel that we will be teaming up with Keener and Kelso in Brooklyn to fight against the Black Tusk.

The finale mission was crazy. I really enjoyed it. I could definitely see replaying it just for the fun of it. As for the story, a lot of people, myself included, thought they were telegraphing Kelso going rogue, which meant it had to be a misdirect. Turns out the misdirect was the misdirect and Kelso was indeed rogue. I'm anxious to see where that will go. Regarding Keener coming back, part of me wonders if Massive was influenced by all the people asking for Keener to come back. If that wasn't the original plan, perhaps all the people who felt like they dropped the ball in killing off Division's main antagonist too early made them reconsider. I was pretty surprised to see him back, despite all the talk within the community about it happening, but I was really surprised to see Theo. I wouldn't have expected that.

Also, remember the other little stunt in The Tombs? When you go to inspect a random dead body and ISAC says "Theo Parnell, Rogue Agent deceased". I'm pretty sure thats the stunt they were referring to, showing that ISAC can falsely mark someone as deceased.

Thanks very much! You can't replay the entirety of old Seasons, but from the Manhunt menu you can access "Legacy Manhunts" at the bottom. They give you a text recap, and a launch hub for all old Seasons finale missions. The order of all Division 2's story would be: main DC campaign up to Tidal Basin in WT5, Camp White Oak, Manning National Zoo, Pentagon missions x2, Coney Island missions x2, Warlords of New York, then follow the Legacy Manhunts as chronologically laid out

Number 26 isn't a bug. It's just stupid. There's a note on Kelso in the manhunt tab. It says "Reset the manhunt for additional rewards". Those two collectibles are the "additional rewards". You have to reset the manhunt to get the last one. It's ridiculous.

I watched the ending again, and if you look at Kelso before they pull off, her facial expression is crazy. I believe she's working with Keener, but also against him as well. And I also believe Faye Lou is still alive, and Schaeffer needs to wake TF up, because he's the key to taking down the Black Tusk.

My theory for the Brooklyn dlc is that we (potentially) could end up going undercover as “rouge” where there is a separate progression system. We can progress as a rouge, or as an agent, leading up to a final decision, stay rouge, or stay an agent. For the rouge system, i feel like it would be similar to the DZ rouge system, where you can go rouge for a period of time, progressing in the rouge xp or something, but while rouge, you can encounter regular ai division agents (like rouges but reversed) or a hunter will hunt you, during this rouge period, you can’t enter normal safe houses, and the friendly AI will attack you, but you can enter designated rouge safe areas, places where ISAC can’t find you, in the rouge safe house, your rouge timer will not go down, but you can spend XP (or a rouge currency) to buy or upgrade rouge skills, interact with other rouge agents, or get special rouge specializations. TL;DR: you can choose to progress as a rouge for a set time, or you can just play in normally.

It was in the hunted novel book 2 were the main character is presumed dead only to be pulled from the water. Being rouge has no means not following Isaac, and we know from comms this could be a good thing. I was surprised we didn’t go rouge at end of warlords, next update this should occur. Only way narrative to get is to complete the story and objectives.

Looking at it afterwards it makes sense because the only thing that didn’t fit was the rocket keener was about to start. It didn’t made any sense. But now we know it was just a big taunt: Kill a bunch agents in a with poison hides as supplies, to make the division panic. Then showing them a “big plan with rocket” sure the Division thought that was his plan even though it was super random. Keeners taunt worked out very good…deserved

Keener mentioned a new "safe haven" and building a "bridge". These word choices are likely intentional. Keener creating a new base that we'll get to use in the Brooklyn DLC? Also, look up the historical/mythological meaning of the name "Cassandra". Pretty cool.

I stated before ( 2 months ago )that it would’ve been funny if Isaac was hacked to confirm Keeners demise and right before the agents caught up to him he took a chemical agent that would slow down his vitals to the point of being presumed dead by Issac. So it’s not out of bounds to bring him back using that tactic, now what I didn’t like was how short the last fight was…..but it wasn’t trash 🚮 either. Man I can’t wait to see my hometown Brooklyn in game again, also I so hope they make it a BIG map that includes : Crown Heights, Bed-Sty, Flatbush, Bensonhurst, Hells Kitchen,and Full Coney Island/Washington Heights. And I so hope that they give you the option to either stay Division or stay Rogue moving forward into Division 3 w perks for both…..either way I know which direction I’m going ☝🏾⭕️

As long as these two are the only ones they revive, I’m fine with it. They’re the only two who have significance in the story at this point and time while the other Prime Targets and their Lieutenants were expendable. While the devs do give a decent explanation on how Keener and Parnell are alive, it would have been better if they explained exactly how they survived in order to make it more believable (Ex: ISAC never announced their names when confirming that a Rogue Agent was killed or stating how they used Theo’s trick of using body doubles to trick ISAC). Or they could have a comm where it states how Keener and Parnell are the only two that are alive and that they need to start recruiting again or something along those lines. This not only provides closure that every enemy we killed up until this point stays dead but it quells the playerbase as everyone is questioning on which dead enemies can now return. Besides it wouldn’t be the first time someone has died and came back in the Division universe as we iced Hornet in The Division 1 (And I know damn well we all put another mag into his dead body) yet he returned in The Division 2 as a Prime Target

I don't think the developers expected this game to go as far as year 6 with content or a division 3 back when they killed keener,but i also feel that he's been such a big part of both division games that while continuing on without him would definitely be fine having him back opens up the story with so much more potential too, i'm glad he's back though I can't wait to see where the story goes from here, im still excited to see what season 2.0 is, after playing diablo for the past few weeks id personally like to see something like the seasons on there, just to elongate our playtime in the game, a new character at the start of every season, level up to 40 doing it however we want and not having to do the story then the dlc, i'm sure that would annoy a lot of people but to me that would be pretty fun to do

A few weeks ago I commented to your video about the twist where Keener was very manipulative. As such he used everything like Hunters, Faye and the others to get his agenda moving forward. I was wrong in some aspects of my thoughts but like you pointed out Parnell did show that he had the tech and knowledge to make them "disappear". I voiced to my friends in game that Parnell was not dead and they told me I was demented. Keener on the other hand I was very unsure about. I think there is more we are not seeing which fuels our speculations. I really need to make a flow chart and start getting the string out to connect the dots. Maybe might see the missing parts.

This Season is currently set to end on June 11th. If you completed the pass though then I wouldn't stress too hard, the only portion you'll no longer be able to access is the little "investigation" portions, the final mission will stick around to replay like all other past Seasons ones do 👍

Something I've noticed that I haven't seen anyone talking about is Paul Rhodes. He's the one that tells us during the theo mission that the glitch in isac (to spoof their identies) is fixed only 2 minutes after he learns about it. And when we're hunting Keener the section where we're trapped in a room with the two shd crates one of the hacked objectives that pop up is "Kill Paul Rhodes". Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't trust him

The workaround currently is to reset and redo the entire Manhunt, and it'll award you with them when you complete the final mission. I'm sure a proper fix will be patched in soon though 👍

I have to disagree with the death deal...Its like in the movies or tv shows where you take a pill that will decrease your heart rate so low that it will fool anyone into thinking they have died. However, keep in mind that Keener's watch was never on him when he was declared deceased. We were actually holding the watch in our hand when he was declared deceased on liberty island. Another giveaway was kelso saying lets go and she was left with keener's body. no one verified his body like they verified Faye Lau's. Faye Lau was also cremated and the Devs themselves confirmed she was dead. As far as parnell was concerned, ISAC had issues declaring him deceased as well since theo's decoys screwed with ISAC as well. Now with keener saying that we were never the intended target, we knew this from the very beginning even with us fighting keener at liberty island. Our true targets were McManus and his hunters (lets not forget Kelso worked for him during her time in the CIA) and Natalia, her black tusk and her goal of overall world domination. McManus wanted total control over the U.S. as the head honcho and thats something keener did not agree with. Overall I think this was the best ending, the end of the SHD and the beginning of the RAN (Rogue Agent Network) which means we will now operate as rogues in the open world, not just the dark zone. (we were also flagged rogue at the end of the scene).

Actually we were flagged as Rogue during the cut scene but after the mission and u go back to Haven our watch color is still amber not red. Meaning we aren't Rogue. If we were truly rogue every agent would know we were and there is no chance we would be able to get back into Haven. In regards to Pernell, apparently the exploit that was tricking ISAC into thinking that dead body was Parnell was "fixed" by Paul Rhodes. Maybe Rhodes has been with Keener all along or Pernell is actually that talented of a hacker he re-established the exploit w/o Paul knowing. My thing is when you "killed" Keener you were like one foot away from him. Yes Kelso took the body but the Division has been hunting Keener for how long and NOONE else besides you and Kelso can verify he is dead? WTF happened to the body? Kelso lost it? That's EXTRMELY flakey. However Keener mentioned when u go back to Haven after the reveal that ISAC identified an "agent" was dead when you thought you had killed him. It never said it was Keener. Also he mentions your contact lenses. If Pernell's hack and ANNA were able to fool u to see what they want you to see what's to say anything since Warlords of New York started was what it seemed? Take the red pill, agent! U've been stuck in a larger version of Decent this whole time.

I really don't like the direction they've gone, the story now feels like it has taken the dive in quality that the Manhunts have taken for awhile now (IMO). I just hate seeing a AAA game get Indie level support BUT I also don't think they'd make this bold of a move without a good reason. Not happy right now but I'm willing to have my mind changed in the long run. I just really, really hope that if these Manhunts are the best they can do with their current resources they consider the idea of "less is more" when it comes to further content.
