Step 1. Get 2k SHD. Make a new character and boost to 30. Complete new York. 2 Have 1200 SHD materials use em to max vague weapons/ exotics and things you don't use.

We do have a cap as per the devs it has been in all the pts patch notes and in the TU15 patch notes. It says 20. The problem is your expertise level is raised by items rank not strictly the number of items proficient. How they got to this level (21+) was by upgrading everything to rank 9 with printer filament and then making a donate all donation once for all items and since everything is rank 9 it all becomes proficient at once giving a large amount of expertise levels pushing you past the soft cap. Since there is no hard cap, because new items will most likely enter the pool at some point, it takes all the proficiency experience and dumps it into your expertise. Giving you 10+ levels instantly, now the system is obviously broken over all because not everyone ends up with the same expertise level even if two people both start from 0. So the best thing to do is not max out anything all at once and slowly progress to rank nine on as many pieces as possible. Wether by donating or farming it makes no difference. Though if you did tombs you may be fucked. As an unintended consequence maybe that your max will be lower compared to someone else’s, as you stated. I have only use one GS and two brand sets two weapons and 2 skills I have been donating and have not made anything but my one build proficient and I am lvl 4 right now that shouldn’t be the case I should be half way around level 3. I have friends that have saved all of there donations and sold items for credit to buy mods and brake them down. They are at the expected level 3 1/2. I expect to be at the max next weekend as I don’t play often. But if the theory is correct I will be 21+. Unless there is some underlying bug that is not being shared. Though if you have a discord you know things like that usually spread like wild fire. GGs great explanation overall. Vibes did mention the rank exp issue as well. I’ve just looked into it as many hardcore players would. Hopefully though they can fix this and everything I said becomes invalid.

I did tombs for all brand and gear sets. I’m now doing countdown for weapons just finished smg’s and some AR, I also have six skills maxed out. I have most of the names gear as well. I am level 16 and I have a lot to grind for but I’ve been donating all weapons and did tombs for gear. I should be over 20 when I get done. So it’s broken for sure but I did the numbers and based on the items to be leveled up and the amount of levels it’s takes to get one expertise level it’s sums up less than 20??? I’m sure they are gonna fix it and have a cap later on a patch. Who ever is way over the cap will be brought down to the cap.

I don’t think donating is a bad idea, the only catch is to keep changing the loot and donating, the sweet spot is to be proficient only till Rank 6/7, and not to be fully proficient. I am expertise level 10 and I am proficient only in 43/344.

We did the tombs for an hour and I got max proficient in so many things. You don’t have to keep killing yourself. Just get to the wave right before keener jumps down. Kill all adds, but leave keener alive in the towers. Place yourself between bravo and Charlie and someone else between delta echo…..and you can jam pulse all towers. Keener will disappear and reappear over and over and over.

Really? Gonna have to try this, cause levelling up weapons at Tombs is excruciatingly slow. Gear is ok cause you can put six same brands on at a time. I'm still confused on why different people have different Expertise level for same Proficiency level. Does 'Kill XP' bypass the cap?

@@deliman7203 the devs intention is for players to actually play and put time in, the donating .. specifically with players with really high shd level.. they can just purchase credits and donate away with weapons from vendors x 20, but the power creep is significantly better for those who actually play through and gain xp with gear and weapons. some folks can have the same amount of items proficient but some are literally 4-9 expertise higher because they actually played with the gear/weapons equipped. when folks start hitting max 344/344 tons of people gonna be looking stupid when they are level 20 something expertise while others are literally pushing 35-40

One thing no one seems to say is how hard i find myself to collect all the materials to upgrade your weapons, gear sets, brand sets etc once proficent. It takes 1000s and 1000s of everything, steel, fabrics, titanium etc to upgrade each level.

Making a gun proficient increases your expertise. It doesn't matter if it's through donations or gameplay. And you're going to hit the cap no matter how you do it.

You only have to play WoN campaign 15 times with a SHD of 3950 and will be 25 expertise. Took me 30 hours, 3 hours each campaign.

It seems when you level up items the normal way an not donate you get 1 prof level for regular items per level 2 prof level for named items per level and 3 prof levels for exotic items per level. Donating is 1 level no matter the item.

Okay so when you reach max proficiency on a weapon… lets say an exotic. You level up the weapon but then find a better version of it later. Do you keep that level up on all drops of that specific exotic? Or do you need to relevel…

My dad figured out that each prof level on an item gained through donations will give you 1 point towards expertise level, but for each level gained without donations will give you 2 points towards the next expertise level. If you only level through donations you may end up short of the max expertise level.

as far as i know, the expertise is bug due to the expertise is increase based on the amount of proficiency item if you increase by donating, it increase by one(normal supposed way) if you increase by using and killing(including this exploits) it increase by 2 so assume that when they fixed this proficiency problem, your expertise will reduce by about half if what you do is just doing tomb. Currently the fastest way I think doing legit is just doing countdown and donate. those that already max proficiency, deconstruct it to get resources to donate Please keep in mind that your mod resources increase extremely fast with limited pool you can carry so it max out fast as you CANNOT donate it and just deconstruct. To help with resource donate when you done all basic weapon and gear proficiency, some named gear especially DZ exclusive gear that wont be drop by hunter are extremely hard to farm and exotics and most people just donate resource to level up proficiency. what you can do is to target loot gear set in countdown. deconstruct gear set give back more blue resources to help with donate. if you do countdown with your fiend, especially towards hunting hunter for named gear, try to communicate with your countdown player. if you have named gear that already max, try to give it to other player so they may give you named item that you have not max out yet.

No, your not really force to used other gear. You can just be running around collecting random gear and donating it to what you don't use. A thing I do I collect all of the purple gear that I find and I deconstruct to get a good amount of materials and max out the resources and then use it to upgrade the level up on the expertise on the the gear/weapon you want. That method turns into a cycle but it really works on working on your expertise level faster.

In the SMG section of the expertise bench towards the bottom there's a UMP45. Not UMP-45 or any variant, just UMP45, white text, nothing special. I've run dozens of countdowns, some with SMG targeted, and have been donating everything. I'm at 0 proficiency on the UMP45. Does this gun exist?

I think it doesn't drop after level 30 or 40, the only way to level it only you hit the level cap is to donate materials.

If you grind countdown you can get points for exotic caches so you can just deconstruct the exotic weapons. That’s what I been doing but yeah I guess at your level it asks for a lot of components.

One thing I'm confused on is how the bonus armour from the expertise works. Does the percentage go towards the base 80k from the brand set or does it go towards the 170k in the main attribute?

It's based off the base armor for each piece not including primary attributes. 6 pieces of armor at Expertise 20 will only yield about 150K armor.

I am grinding (combating) to level up my proficiency rank on the weapons/gears in my loadout but I also donate junks that I picked up along the way. I am at expertise level 6 with 30 items being proficient. Please tell me I am still ok, i.e. not fucked. I'll be in this game for eternity since some weapons are not optimal. I really don't want to waste resources to optimize these weapons much because I most likely won't ever use them again once I am done with this expertise thingy.

This video is OLD news .. Ubisoft is changing how the expertise level has been working so far and roll-back will take place for all/most players (expertise level and their proficiency level for all their gear) .. my advice, stop doing anything until at least tomorrow 31-May EoD.

I have a friend that got to level 23 in 1 week!!!! I’m not surprised by this because he’s one of the best xp players I’ve ever met. Top in this game for sure. But how do you get to level 23 (in my friends case) all proficient but expertise level 23? 20 was supposed to be the max? So to break away and gain more you have to USE the gear and skills in PVE to level up VS playing the new countdown mode and being a part of the “Herd” and DONATING ALL FKING DAY. That’s F**ked up! @@kingslayerz1874 It has been addressed on twitter to the devs and they are very aware of this bug. They are currently looking into, i got the confirmation from 2 devs. If its not fixed on the 31st of may then I will follow it up again!

Things like this is why division gets boring real fast they made the game a certain way so it take long to level up people would actually learn how to play the game people find a way to cheat to level up fast never learned how to play the game and got bored they make a whole new level up with expertise with your gear and every gun because they know everyone does not use every gun or every gear set so everyone wasted their money on this game there are so many combos in gear sets it would take one person years to actually use it all then beg 3 weeks after all the new contents out and say make more

I'm not mad that people find a way to level up I'm mad I understand why they made the expertise system it was the force everybody to use all the guns and gear and see how great the game really is because everybody makes the strongest builds so many other creative build behind

The scorpio can be gotten from any place dropping shotguns just run the heroic difficulty and it will drop eventually from the towers or open world.

i have a question. I am doing trying this but however the proficiency only increase for my 2nd weapon. Not the rest of everything like armor, skills and handguns. Why is this? or am i doing it wrong?

Since the update they have changed a few things. As of now, you SHOULD donate, the tombs thing is patched so that won’t work. Run countdown, if you are trying to get gear proficient, put on 6 pieces in countdown, target the same loot that you are wearing, after 2 runs of countdown mark all what you got as junk and donate it. Within 2 runs it will be proficient. For the weapons farm for different guns each countdown run and donate them after, that’s how you can level up everything quicker.

YOU ARE WRONG, to level up faster in the beginning you should alternate what you set as targeted loot, your assults are 23/41. You should be setting to what you have the lowest of for a greater chance or getting what you don't have.
