The Division - Solo Resistance Farm on Carrier

This this video I go over the build I use to farm resistance, followed by a farming run on Carrier. This went very similar to how most of the runs go. Occasionally I hit good bosses on both wave 5 and 10 and get enough SHD to get the 5th crate in around wave 12.

With farming like this I'm getting around 4 crates every 25 minutes or around 9-10 an hour. With a classified drop rate of 57% this nets on average 5-6 classifieds per hour. During the global event running Lex all day long I was getting around 5 superior crates per hour which maths out to be around 5 classifieds per hour. So all is not lost just because a GE isn't running.
As mentioned in the video, 4 striker / 3 nomad is a very strong alternative, as is 3 striker / 1 nomad / 1 D3-FNC / NinjaBackpack.

Absolute first class video, watched the whole thing from start to finish, 38 minutes flew by in no time at all. I’ve watched a lot of resistance farm videos and this is by far the best by a long way. Wow. I don't know how I've never come across your channel. Easily the best, clearest explanation of a build and all it's parts. It's 2023 now (dang I feel old), still playing the game on the regular but I've not tried resistance all that much. Partly because I don't have any friends to group with. As a (young) Lone Wolf I got tired of dying to the BS shotgunners so I focused on everything else really. Matchmaking into a group is typically pretty good. Even though I can solo resistance I find myself doing groups of four because it's less boring and more social. If people are willing to share pieces you want it's nearly as good as a solo farm. If you really want to go solo though, I ran solo before I got my classified striker set with one of the following two sets. First set I used was Ninja + 3xStriker + 1xNomad + 1xD3FNC for that sweet Striker damage plus health on kill from Nomad and protection from elites from D3. It's less forgiving with missing shots but still had this insane damage output. Second set I used was Ninja + 3xD3FNC + 1xNomad + 1xSentry for the shield, the health on kill from nomad and accuracy from sentry. Sentry could be switched out though - if you want more range on the ammo crate you could use 1xReclaimer or if you want to survive a bit better on wave 9 I'm pretty sure the contamination is "exotic" (non-bullet) damage so 1xFinalMeasure would be helpful. Powers and talents would be the same as this build except the D3 build would have shield instead of sticky flashbang.

Your lightweight M4 ammo count doesn't go below 1717, even after you reload, is it due to the striker build or something else? I could have missed it.

I would first try some other content which may not be as difficult such as doing the daily challenging missions, making sure you're in world tier 5 with 256+ item level gear across the board, possibly roaming west side piers, and definitely participating in any global events when they come along. Global events are even better than this video's method. It may be frustrating to try this resistance method with normal gear because dying makes you start the entire thing over.

whats your best tip to keep contamination from killing you on wave 9? i die to much on wave 9.

sees2008 there’s two paths, you can just buy up all your caches after wave 8 then die and restart, or try to find a spot where there’s a much narrower angle of enemy advance so you get flanked less. Like the backside balcony in the Carrier where the turret box is. Defending from there can help you last if where I hang out most of this video isn’t that great for you. Hanging out on the upper catwalk inside the Carrier might also be a good spot if you have the accuracy to hit enemies from a distance. Health on kill is also helpful to keep health up as you push through the wave. In general the enemies are just tough; if you don’t have the gear for it stopping at wave 8 is still a pretty efficient farm.

Instead of constantly trying to reposition the mic in front of your mouth, keep it away and just increase the sensitivity. The few times you move it in front of your mouth your volume goes from 10 to 100 and I'm damn near throwing the headset off my head.

It is easier with more people though the boxes are more expensive whereas the SHD currency you can earn is still the same so you end up getting less loot. If you can solo it you stand to earn more loot than in a group.

With his mods (dmg to elites) it's dope 👍 So striker gives lot of enemy armor dmg so u can destroy the armor quciky plus with dte mods will help even more to kill even strong bosses in legendary missions easily

it only gives you a little healing when it activates off almost dying. The healing you see is likely the healing from the Striker gear set I'm using.
