Thank You for a really deep episode that stayed focused on the difficult topic of the journey to healing for children of divorce. I laughed, I cried, I cheered for your success. Thanks for sharing Dan. This was one of your best episodes Gianmarco!

I'm not someone who watches comedian's podcasts to laugh 100% of the time, I really appreciate it when we get to hear more about someone's life that isn't a "bit" but rather just telling a story. I already knew about Soder's family dynamics and the loss of his sister and Dad (as I was a huge Bonfire fan), I was still getting emotional for him as he described the manner in which they died along with his aunt. The relationship with his cousin that blossomed, being in love with his fiancé and dog (shout out Myrtle) and seeing his career reaching new heights is just wonderful! Thanks for another great episode guys.

7:00 that comment about old timey strong man body is completely true. I used to work in a group home for disabled adults and the client who sometimes had violence issues had the body of a 1917 fisticuffs fighter. He bit me once, but that was my fault for getting too close. Never let 'em drag you in.

45:04 I am around the same age as Dan, and I remember in elementary school, our principal sent home a letter telling us why the Simpons were bad. In his eyes, it taught children how to be disrespectful to adults. Bart was a bad influence. However, when I was like 12 The Tracy Ullman show was airing on Comedy Central, and my brother called me in to watch the cartoon on that show... The Simpsons. It was eye opening. It was formative to my sense of humor today.

Irresponsible, deadbeat father who was never home. And when he was, we were to be his butlers or needed to fuck off with all that noise. Plus, the beatings. I've got the frantic energy of "please don't leave me" and the going home and "why did I effing talk so much and say that?!" No cool toys or experiences, but lots of trauma and abuse. 😂😢

That SA obviously goes with modelling doesn't really compare with the comparisons he made. It puts the blame on the models. The problem are the men in power and that could be fixed by the justice system and antimysogenist culture... not really as unavoidable as the other examples.
