Dr. Blake Mysteries were all excellent stories. I always knew the logical passing of the torch to Jean Beasley would be a stroke of genius. She had the personality to be a lead. And those Australian producers attempting to save the show has chosen wisely. The cast is powerful -- Nadine Gardner, Joel Tobeck, the woman who plays the new police surgeon Alice (Belinda McClory) -- these are incredible actors. Hopefully, SGT. Charlie Davis will return (Charlie Cousins) to surprise everyone. All the actors who had a role in this show added their personalities and talent admirably. I especially liked the older commandant John Stanton -- classy actor. It was a quality show. Head and shoulders above any American TV series. The other Australian show not to miss is the clever Ms. Fischer's Mysteries. That is gloriously set in the 1920s. I saw the Dr. Blake movie that did not feature Craig McLachlan (Dr. Blake). I always liked him -- but his reliable strong cast is indeed carrying on the tradition. Quite enjoyable, keep the twists coming and the fine writing. Nadine Gardner, Joel Tobeck & Belinda McClory -- they've got this carved out for themselves if the audience is loyal. Ballarat -- I will have to visit that town someday.

She was so great. The writers failed to bring the union of the two soon enough-major failure, but sill a great series. Loved her!
