I think it's great that you're finally making the herd a bit smaller, without reducing its value. I'll keep 1 older boar and sell all the other boars. I think around 4-6 sows are already pregnant. We'll definitely know in 3 months - 3 weeks & 3 days! Keep the 2 strongest boars from the next litter, then nothing will stand in the way of good breeding of the herd over the next 2-3 years. With the hens too, you only need 2-3 roosters to lay eggs and have chicks. I would sell the rest. 1. put money into the fund for doctors and medicine. 2. fewer animals to look after and always new young animals on the farm. what are the ostriches doing???? is the rooster already brooding?
