For the most part, I'm not very fond of pre-game ceremonies. At my age, I've seen more than enough of them, and I think they're generally a pompous waste of time. Vin was part of my life. Watching the Dodgers growing up in the 80s and 90s. I remember hearing Vin doing the Stater Bros commercials on TV. A voice that is as recognizable as the crack of the ball off a bat.

He called Jackie Robinson and Hank Aaron. Fernando Valenzuela, Orel Hershiser, Kirk Gibson. He spouted 60 year old facts off the top of his head from personal memory and experience.
