I wish there was more to this. We get no indication of why the world is as it is here. I kept expecting Jax to ask the question only for Sarah to give us some backstory. Half expected it to be "We chose this. We decided to go into the dome to live in peace." Or some such.

Hard to feel the drama/doom. It’s a dome over a city. A little preamble describing this as the last vestiges of humanity would add some tension.

It gets confusing first it seems that the humans live in the dome and everyone else is on the open planet. Then like maybe the other way around or that they're all under a big dome withe the humans in a separate one? And uf itshuman tech why did they make themselves a prison?

If both sides were seeking the same goal, it could take a single generation but with one side determined to play the victim and the other side tired of taking the blame for a crime their Ancestors committed, I'm guessing never.
