Pekka is not viable. Battle ram gets destroyed by log, along with pretty much everything that supports it. Its charge mechanic coupled with the delay that comes after breaking the ram makes the card ridiculously slow for an offense card. Plus, there’s so many splash damage cards that the two barbarian advantage gets practically nullified half the time Bandit counters get worse and worse each update, and even the type of cards she’s good against have terrible interactions. For example, she can’t kill ice spirit without it jumping on her, even while dashing, and 9/10 times firecracker will be pushed back out of dash range, meaning bandit has to walk up to her and hit her twice even though she dashed on her. She’s a damage-based card that can’t even kill goblins, which means that 90% of her matchups are always going to be negative Royal ghost is good Minions might be viable, but it’s extremely matchup dependent, and most decks have a way to counter them very easily. If the opponent has arrows, firecracker, princess, musketeer, mega minion, phoenix, bomb tower, fire spirit, ice spirit, skeletons, fireball, zap, snowball, rage, etc, they’re going to get countered very easily. Pekka is far too slow to make a good impact. She has so many counters that make her absolutely unplayable against faster cycle decks. Even her advantages like being a tank card for your damage troops gets nullified by splash cards like fireball, log, bomb tower, firecracker, etc. Plus, she actually takes forever to kill troops on her own. It takes 3 shots to kill a knight at full health, which means it takes 5.4 seconds for the tank buster 7 elixir card to deal with a single 3 elixir troop. That’s enough time for Musketeer alone to take away more than a fourth of Pekka’s health. E-wiz is fine Zap should be good, but it’s probably the worst 2 elixir spell out of all of them. It simply does not have the utility that other cards have for its cost. Again, a damage spell that can’t kill goblins? The zap mechanic is so bad because it doesn’t reset the animation, it only stops it for a literal half a second. The only upside it has is that it’s instant, but it actually makes it harder to do predictions because of that, you have to react on top of the innate delay, and by then your cards will already be dead.

Man I love pekka but it truly does just feel like everything in the game just shit on it. Log Bait, Miner Mortar, Evo Firecracker ( to some degree evo knight forces you to pekka it), Archer queen, Inferno anything, eBarbs, Swarm, Mighty Miner, the list goes on just so much shit hard counters it the more they have in their deck just feels like it becomes impossible to beat. Currently trying to get to champion with this but lord this deck is ass.

He played a Pekka (7 elixir) and had 7 elixir when the guy dropped Baby Dragon, which made him assume the guy had, at that moment, 10 elixir. So he spent 7 on a Pekka +7 on stock (which makes 14) at the same time the opponent had played a Baby Dragon (4 elixir) at 10 elixir, meaning he still had only 6 elixir left (10 total). So he was ahead 4 elixir. Indeed, he played Pekka + EWiz while still having 3 elixir to plan a push with Ghost King on the other lane, while the other guy spent everything (Baby Dragon, Knight and Ice Wiz) on defense. And it all went south from there.
