2K14 was the peak, it should have been the foundation for every game that followed. Then 2K15 happened, and they never recovered after that.

2k15 & 2k16 were bad but had room for improvement, 2k17 just killed any & all potential the series had forever going forward

I disagree with last gen causing problems for a game technically the developers want to make it for last gen consoles isn’t way games get held up or back show proof where this is happening
