I don't mind a quick 15 second ad once an hour, but advertisements everytime I change streams is so shit. Does Twitch not realize that spraying an ad everytime you open a new stream actually hinders growth for channels? Personally it makes me not want to check out a new streamer when I know I have to sit through ads for content that I might not even like once I start watching.

It’s simple: Twitch got lucky with first mover’s advantage. They have always been thoroughly incompetent from developing of their site to community moderation and PR, and now that the big players are catching up and passing them on these fronts, they are paying for years of under serving the market they once had monopoly over.

honestly idk if this is a heavy glaze, but I think chat underestimates how intelligent x actually is. whether it's just chat trolling & being sarcastic, or chat genuinely being being braindead, a very large amount of the shit he says is honestly just completely true or atleast up for debate in a way that favours both sides of the argument. mostly w the poki comment near the end aswell, I have never really watched a poki stream, but when I think of streamers that stay out of trouble and really take a heavy pr approach, i'd 100% think of her. so when she goes 4 years without a notable incident, she's not going to be treated harshly because it is clearly a rare mistake. this is why if you make 1 mistake at a job, you will not be judged but when you make 7 mistakes in 1 day of work, you're going to be looked down upon. and then if you show up for the next 2 weeks consistantly making those mistakes, of course your job security and ability to perform the job will come into question. this is such a basic concept, and it amazes me that people cant grasp it.

XQC and Mizkif were defending twitch rightfully because they received favouritism and contracts with options to renew their contracts. They are literally paid actors for twitch (current or in the past). Kai and other black 1 percenters never received the respect or financial aid their white peers received from twitch (name change option like xqc, 1-1 contract like pokimane, ads preference like Hasan)
