I love how raw and real she is. When everyone wanted her to just pray about it and move on, I love how she handled this situation. He embarrassed her in front of the world. That could mess you up mentally. I love how she turned her pain into ministry.

Another great interview, thank you! Years ago, my husband and I faced this ugly shade in our relationship head on because we were either going to explode & burn it out or fade away. We chose to face it, and I knew I had to forgive him for the affair. I thought I was going to lose my mind... but how could I even think that I could lose my mind when GOD had told me in HIS WORD to “put on the mind of Christ”? It was a long process and I cannot explain how it felt in one paragraph, but GOD WALKED US THROUGH IT... and here we are STILL MARRIED and working out our relationship with ourselves and GOD.

Awesome!!! Never ever heard this topic so wonderfully explained from a womens perspective and who has gone through exactly what my marriage has gone through. It's what I've tried for so long to get out of my mouth but because I'm the man just didn't know how to articulate it because I'm not my wife. Thanks Tina , you are an incredible inspiring and true Woman of God. You've tapped in to the very thing that God has written on every married woman's heart that because of the husband's unfaithfulness the wife has a intricate part that can be implemented to the restorative healing in marriages .Tina , what a good example of Gods power that together with God any broken marriage can be restored.

One last thing: Thanks for being transparent and sharing such vulnerability in your life and marriage! I admire your courage! I pray for fullness of God's spirit to create many more years of oneness, and that you all stay each other's first ministry with great joy. This helps many people, so thank you! I struggled with a lot and still have my mind renewed that acts of submission are not weak and are selfless. Im learning that if my motivations are not selfless, then it is terribly difficult to submit. I can't even communicate in a way that's not volatile. Again, thank you all for this talk. I'm excited to watch part 2!

Thank you yet again Dr. Leaf, for sharing another interview of a personal life story. Tina's explanation of circumstances reminded me how we can trick ourselves into thinking that some issues are "little", when in reality they are very BIG. Poor communication, financial disagreements and failure to recover from problems (hurts) are major issues that may appear innocuous, as they did with Tina. Tina's sharing with eloquence and candor was refreshing. Lord be magnified in her life story. Can't wait til next week! 🤗

Let’s remember though, that a man cheats by CHOICE. Even if your spouse isn’t everything you like, God IS. There are other things Teddy could have done to deal with his own issues which ACTUALLY caused him to cheat. In this case, they both had intimacy issues BEFORE marriage that led to him deciding to cheat. She could have cheated, but decided to just keep busy to avoid coping with her personal pain. So, it’s NOT her fault. We can only be tempted with what WE WANT ANYWAY. He knew Tina was idealistic when he dated her! His own childhood wounding led to his sexual addiction and I’m glad Teddy realized that Tina was NOT the problem. I’m glad they refused to stay STUCK. They got good therapy to undercover their own childhood/relational pains and are working their programs to help them have better lives and a better marriages. Perfectionism, Sexual Addiction, and Serial Infidelity are just SYMPTOMS of the larger picture of internal pain.

He felt insignificant in his marriage. Men don’t only cheat because of childhood trauma. That’s a general textbook answer but it’s not always the truth. PEOPLE cheat for different reasons. Bottom line is she admitted she came up short in how she treated her husband. She contributed to making him feel the way he did.

I can completely relate. I am currently separating from my husband, i find many of your points...so honest and valid. How can we go about healing? what if both parties aren't working it out? Or just one? I don't know. Lately, we've realized. We have little to nothing in common. Our marriage was a passionate affair...but that's the problem just an affair. we are now becoming friends but it feels like it may be too late. Any words of wisdom?
@tiffaniglam
@tiffaniglam 6 жыл бұрын
God doesn’t desire for you two to be divorced. Having nothing in common doesn’t mean you should leave your marriage. That’s not what marriage is about. My advice to you would be to learn about what God intends in marriage. You didn’t only make a covenant with your husband but also to God. Keep that covenant. It’s not about us. It’s about GOD! 😊

@@tiffaniglam hi! Thank you for your kind words. I do agree marriage isn't intended to be stopped and dropped. However, when one party does not love you nor Christ...and has moved on to someone else. I pray for discernment, everything screams to let go. I am choosing to put God 1st in my life(didn't do it before, my ex did not always support my desire to be closer to God). Only thing I can do is be patient, pray and remain faithful that God is working a miracle out of this situation. After all He is the restorer a miracle worker, I am simply his miracle tool. He is using me and my life to be a great testimony of his great love and grace. Thank you once again. May God bless you.

Great interview. Tina you are a true women of God! Thank you for showing us what Jesus would do.... to love the sinner and hate the sin. To love unconditionally. You’re inspirational. I’m sure it’s not easy going against what society thinks is the solution... divorce. But you followed the voice of God. Stay strong in your journey. Marriage is not for our happiness but a tool to make us holy! Of course there will be happy times but God refines us in it for His purposes. God be with you and your husband! I basically think no one deserves to have a cheating spouse. Trust is like a crystal glass that once it’s broken,it’s hard to fix them.. That’s why it’s important to apply wisdom when dealing with our partners... Last week I suspected my husband cheating on me, a friend recommended a hacker to me I contacted him and he helped me get cheating proves by helping me hack his phone giving me full access to everything he does on his phone... I got access to all his phone call logs, Text messages, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Kik, Emails, Social media chats (both old and new) without looking at his phone... if you suspect your spouse cheating on you, just contact this great hacker via text/whatsapp or call him ‪+19087998357‬ , or via mail (darkwebprohack@gmail.com). His services are very trusted and guaranteed and also affordable, I can’t thank him enough. I hope you find peace of mind just like I have found after discovering the truth. As the saying goes,what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger....

Nothing wrong to have high standards. The distractions her husband has caused are keeping Mary Mary from ministering because when a person is only selfish/physical it will not matter if you're having sex 24/7 that person will not be satisfied until they give their heart soul and mind to The Lord. Your children need that 100% attention simply because they're children, the husband is a grown person that needs to join the wife to bring up his children 100%. I have been married 22 years with a man that shows no attention in the way the Bible speaks how a dad/husband should be but I have not even thought to go outside my vows I made before God because the Comfort of His Holy Spirit has gripped me in a way that all my heart mind and soul are covered with His Grace. I think of the wives of the disciples that were married, that followed Jesus everywhere to minister, and the husband of the Proverbs 31 business woman who made huge decisions out of the home and how they knew the bigger testament of God's Power was giving themselves to Him and gain their identity through Him and continue to love and respect. Why can't lots of husbands do the same... because they haven't loved The Lord with all their heart mind and soul and be thankful and happy simply because Jesus Christ died for them and that He's their hope for an abundant life.

Uhhhh, cheating isn't a mistake, that is most definitely a conscious choice.....that requires putting one self , intentionally, in the situation to cheat. You saying " if you cheat, I'm gone" is a boundary. You stating a boundary, is in no way creating any sort of atmosphere of unsafety, or setting a " no mistakes allowed or else" environment. Your spouse leaving his laundry on the floor, tracking muddy shoes in the house, talking with his mouth full, or leaving the toilet seat up, is sssooooooo different than being with another person, or multiple, risking your health, the disruption it causes not just between you, buy with the kids, and how it spreads through out all relationships in your life was a choice that was made, before it even happened, and the betrayer decided that uprooting not just his life but everyone else's lives, was worth risking. I personally think that when a man hears his partner say" if youcheat then I leave" what's pops in his head at some point, " is game on" or " no one tells me what I can or can't do" " if you dontt know, then it don't hurt" ( woman can have this mind set too of course, but it seems to be men who have the more competive mindset) Thank yoi for sharing your story, and giving comfort to those who are still hurt.
