This episode really shifted into focus the depth of Su-Min's psychopathy. Although our girl is good and kindhearted she can't let her die just yet she has to have her alive to steal her fate. I loved the slow progression of our main couple they did the friend to lovers' progression really well considering the background. Lawd that meeting the parent's scene until the end was on rewind and played on repeat for awhile in my house that was until episode 10. Loved your reactions! I loved the details they added to Sumin's character because she feels really fleshed out compared to the webtoon, I agree with you about the development of Ji-hyuk's and Ji-Won's relationship it wasn't rushed and it felt genuine. Min-hwan's mother gets pissed off at Ji-won when he calls her "Ajumma." Let's give a brief explanation: from a linguistic point of view ajumma, in Korean (아줌마), simply means married woman or woman of marriageable age but the reality the real meaning given by the local population is very different, indeed many Korean women refuse to be labeled with this term, as it has a rather particular cultural meaning. For the average Korean, ajummas are middle-aged ladies, around 60/65 years old, quite noisy, who typically communicate with a loud, hoarse croak and move in groups making a mess. These ladies then tend to share a particular look, very recognizable: they are usually characterized by black, short and well-combed hair. Hair often covered by an extremely conspicuous visor or hat. These ladies also all enjoy excellent health and come from privileged social backgrounds, they hate the sun and therefore try to cover any part of their body with hats or dresses. Women who often frequent massage centers as if they were meeting places. The ajummas are also great adventurers and tend to enjoy group trips, where they show off their mission outfit: very comfortable shoes, multipurpose backpack, hat, bandana and comfortable but at the same time very bizarre clothing. Ajummas are also very demanding and do not hesitate to complain when they expect to get the most for the least, and nothing is ever good enough, in comparative terms. In short, Ji-won is not just calling Min-hwan's mother an old woman, but the stereotype of an extremely annoying old woman with the aforementioned characteristics.

This episode was so frustrating to me. Firstly why was Su-min invited to this engagement/bday party? I'm so tired of the gaslighting and manipulation tactics. Su-min really believes all she has to do is speak in this "baby" voice, crinkle her nose, and say I'm sorry then everything goes back to normal. The way she's trying to force this "friendship" with Ji-won is scary. And Min-hwan is trash. It's one thing to cheat on your gf, but to do it while she's in the house, and 10min before you have your gf meet your parents. I just can't! I'm so happy Ji-won called off the engagement and flipped him on the ground as a final move. Lol
