Every time that I hear Rhiannon Giddens I AM moved! I chanced upon her and The Carolina Chocolate Drops about a year/year and a half ago. I was gobsmacked! I live in Durban, South Africa, and I tell everybody I know about her - and The Carolina Chocolate Drops. I have yet to meet someone in this city who has heard of her - apart from those whom I have converted.

This song is originally credited to Mississippi John Hurt. To refer to people as Black or White is dialectic based nonsense. There are factually neither. Our Father never created a Black nor a White person. We have a whole host of people with external appearance, however all are within the same spectrum of color, from light pink to dark brown with everything in between.
