3:32 I think you forget to mention that Having 2 ultrawides stacked like that is kind of like having 4 monitors, or (slightly better) than a single 4K 50''~70'' TV 4:30 Programs like for example, After effects, require a lot of screen real state, and in other programs, like drawing programs is way easier to draw without having to hide the docks every few seconds. I could suggest a cheaper and smaller 720p or 1080p vertical monitor for chats or notes to have on the side. Also I like how this video keeps things real, because those issues are very real and common ocurrance. I would recommend this to anyone who only uses this system as a Workstation where programs trend to hog up the screen real space, because I think a base ultrawide or two side by side monitors give you enough screen space to work with. (Tbh, programs that are designed to be full screen and have a minimum window size doesn't help this) *I used to use a 4K TV (and a 720p monitor on the side) and the difference is miles ahead than a 1080 monitor, going back to the monitor makes it feel crammed. The only downside to the TV thing is that games that have locked FOV gets impossible to play fullscreen, forced to go windowed.

Well since you requested, I didn't enjoy my stacked monitor experience. I didn't like tilting my head upwards to look at the screen. Even though stacked is more symmetrical, I'll be rocking my dual monitors side by side half tie fighter style. Much more comfortable to me. 😊
@TheTekSone2 жыл бұрын
keep the setup. I am rocking something similar. I came from three 27" in monitors to one 34" ultra wide. While it suits me fine I needed just a little more. In came another 34" ultra wide double stacked. I love it and not regretting anything. If anything, I am looking maybe to adding something down the sides. I love having screen real estate without having to keep resizing/moving windows around. Lazy? Maaaaaybe, do not judge me bro! 😀 My setup? 1. 2018 Mac mini - 3.2 GHz 6-core intel core i7, 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 500GB, do not laugh...suiting me perfectly for a non-gamer 2. I only search the web, create documents, watch KZbin on it, etc. I do not do any video creation or rendering, music creation or anything that needs anything higher than 8 GB. Also this version of the Mac mini can be opened if I need more ram installed. Between my 16” MacBook Pro which has 32GB of ram, i7 and 1TB storage, my M1 iPad Pro 11” w/256 GB of storage and my 256 GB cellular iPad mini 6…I am pretty much covered.

I was considering a similar setup, but almost purchased two monitor arms with clamps. I was afraid of this setup being too top-heavy, but with two 24" monitors weighing 6lbs each (and limited access to the back of my desk for clamps) before considering the cost savings, this definitely seems like the way to go. From ergonomic point of view, the eye should be aligned horizontaly with the top edge of the screen to be optimal. In your config your eye need to make more effort to look on your secondary screen and results more painful to use in you spend time on computer (headicks, neckpains, etc) That’s why I prefer the triple screen config

I have them next to eachother atm and kind of just roll my chair between whichever one I want to use, but love the idea of stacked for more desk space and less side to side head movement. I'm not sure which one should go on top is my main issue. I was thinking of doing the oled on the bottom and putting as close to the desk as possible so the middle bar between both will be nearly eye height and the top wont be so high up like in this video so when I am just using it for every day use and work/uni I wont be as annoyed with looking up all the time. But perhaps stacked monitors isn't good for my use case..
