I love that the dreg heap layout is a DS3 location, then a DS2 location, then a DS1 location. Then you move on to a brand new location that is technically more ancient than any of those

If you can, help Lapp to find the Purging Monument he seeks. It's almost impossible to find the monument without a guide so if you need, you may ask for the puzzle solution whithout major spoilers, before the next DLC boss, try to help him. One of the best NPC storylines from all of DS games.

I'd strongly recommend you fight the final boss of the main game before continuing the DLC. It's pretty clearly how it's intended to be done and the final boss will seem pretty underwhelming and too easy if you've beaten the DLC first.

Took me a while to realize, and I gave up even trying to beat the tougher one. (TBH I started the DLCs after getting the platinum trophy on the main game, so I was on my NG+++[?] run where most stuff like weapons and attributes are already soft capped.) Edit: Yes, the boss that starts with M and ends with R was a pain. (Had the same nigh invulnerability than Laurence, the First Vicar had in Bloodborne on higher NG rounds.)

I'm really glad you found Amnesiac Lapp, his questline is one of the best, most bittersweet in the whole game. Always stay to the end. While the boss fight gauntlets are fun to watch, I think what makes the episodes are seeing your genuine reactions to the random lore bits/environment/npcs and piecing together how they fit. That, and of course, being surprised by extra boss phases you weren't expecting.

We will not blame you one bit for googling the answer. If you want a hint though, in the murky darkness you will need to use a young white branch.

No spoilers (would never do that because I don't have a small pee pee). Would definitely recommend beating the final boss of the base game before continuing the Ringed City man. The synopsis for this DLC starts out something like 'After defeating *insert final boss name* and Sister Friede the Ashen one journeys to the Ringed City' It is how the game is meant to be played in my opinion, because Dark Souls 3 doesn't throw you into NG+ like Bloodborne, you have that option.

Yeah, there are a few connection theories where Elden Ring Endings (prequel) actually are the START of; Dark Moon Ending=Bloodborne. Destined Death Ending=Demons Souls and Frenzied Flame Ending=Dark Souls 1. Just a few examples. I will let you check them out. Somewhat Plausible, however it is a bit normal for Miyazaki to reuse lore, items and weapons from their full body of work. The Stone Humped Hag and Yoel sprout into Angels at some point, in life. @@matiasgago after the boss when you raise the banner, that is the same hole that the snake guy was in when you placed the lord vessel . The reason is because time is convoluted and worlds are falling into each other. Which means the areas are put together weird

Rings +1 or +2 are only obtainable in new game +. Before the dlc those where the most powerfull version but Ringed City introduced some +3 rings.

Mati, You should DEFINITELY do the base game final boss next. The final boss of the DLC has such finality to it and is the perfect thematic and atmospheric encapsulation of the Dark Souls series. Finishing that, then going on to mop the floor with any easy base game boss would be a bit anticlimactic. The base game final boss is great in it's own right, but they did an excellent job constructing a true final capstone to the series with the DLC boss.

Well done Sir Jedediah! Imagine doing that Demon Prince fight with a small pointy sword? My Sharp Estoc worked well for every other boss, but i upgraded a Black Knight Sword just for this one. Once I got to that 2nd phase, prince just laughed at my pokey pokes.
