It's a reference to when Shaxx and the Vanguard first fought Hive Knights and their Swords that hurt Light. Shaxx advised the Vanguard to research more on the sword and prepare countermeasures before attacking the Hive on moon but the Vanguard ignored his plea and attacked the Moon to kill Oryx. Shaxx was right and thousands of guardians died. Then when we later killed Oryx we took a piece of his sword and Shaxx helped us forge a blade of our own to fight the Hive. Needless to say we were smarter than others who fucked around with Hive Stuff. We didn't get corrupted by A GOD'S CHITIN, let alone a wizard's(Looking at you Dredgen Yor)

There’s so many reasons as to why everyone wants humanity to die,guardians and humans are so frail and yet they fight for survival to the very last breath,it’s insane,the more you look into it the more sense it makes.
