My interpretation: I see a broken young man being destroyed by the mistakes he’s making who is desperately trying to fill the void in his life with sex and alcohol but realizing those things are only making him feel worse after it’s done but in the moment they feel so good which is why he begrudgingly comes back for more and he’s torn between doing what’s wrong to feel something than doing what he knows is right and he wants to believe there’s more to life than living in an endless loop of regretful sin so he’s crying out for help and while he’s conscious of the fact that JESUS SAVES the devil’s demons are trying to convince him otherwise and he hates himself for giving in to the temptations so in the end he decides to surrender everything he’s been carrying at the cross because the cross is his escape and that’s where he leaves his brokenness and shame.
