This video is absolutely amazing, mesmerizing, and artfully created. The song is probably my favorite from TDE so far and the video lives up to that standard. 0:39 is such an epic shot! Ingenuity and creativity in motion! The switching between indoor and outdoor settings is just the right amount of disorienting to marry perfectly with the atmospheric synths and bass in this song, and the piano switching between settings is an amazing throughline between indoors and outdoors. Beautiful piano btw. The shots were so visually stimulating, too. The colors and the flashing lights added to the mood so well. And can we talk about Ross's modern dance!? It shows fantastic training and technique (modern dance suits you, Ross!) that we've never seen before but that we'd love to see again. The strobes at the end both build and release the tension that has been building up through the video with less and less outside being shown, and the flashing lights add the perfect drama and edginess to the guys. What I'm most excited by is Rocky's guitar solo. When I heard the track, the first thing I thought was how amazing it would have been to see it in concert. That's obviously not a possibility now, but when I saw the light-flashing, hair-flying, body-rocking experience that was 2:30 and onwards, I could've cried. It was like I was there, inches away from everything I could imagine, even though I was looking at a computer screen. I am so amazed by this video. The filmography was insane. The editing was top notch. The song was unbelievable. The music video was cosmic. I could write an entire essay about this if you wanted me to. Thank you for this, it'll only get better from here.
