I'm 37 on Tuesday, I cannot fully express how much you talking about period breakouts and not using a filter to cover them but tell us they're there makes me feel so much more confident about my own skin. Like yeah my skin is looking great, but it's that time of the month and my body is angry there isn't a baby, lol. Also I started watching you when I was 31, and I had just gotten back into makeup, and while everyone was doing full glam, you were the only one who didn't make it feel intimidating, or give me the impression I was getting to old for it. I am going to be marching into middle age with my galxey hair and my grungey colorful eyes with pride and honestly a lot of that is from you. I am so glad the beauty space has you. Undertone matters A LOT with red lips. I'm olive toned, from pale to medium (winter to summer). Sit almost true neutral but slightly more blue/cool. I can't do warm reds, but neutral or cool red, yes please. I need a bit of pink, purple, or blue in my reds. I can do yellow and orange but I think I look gross, and yet peach blushes work best with my green tones. Wild

You're 100% bang on about the undertones thing. I'm fair olive and lean a bit more yellow rather than pink and I love the idea of a cool toned red (and it looks okay I suppose) but my skin looks so much more bright and alive with a warm/orange based red! And peach blush is the bomb ✨

I am very cool toned so if I wear an orange lipstick or any warm tone I look ill and my teeth look weird, where as blue toned red looks perfect on me. You have a warm undertone so cool tone lips will clash with your undertone and make you look sick, and the warm shades are perfection on you.

I remember hearing you can use this as a trick if you didn't know your undertone for foundation, you try an orange red and a blue red and you will have your answer.

With that Nyx stick concealer, I found that it needs warmed up too. It's worked best for me when I place it everywhere else first so it warms up and then put it under my eyes last, but blend them out first.

All I know is that if you have a warm undertone, you can wear the blue reds and they won't look bad. I have cool skin and have to stay away from all warm lipstick because it fights my skin and I get the floating lips effect. That Revlon lipstick is 🔥

I'm 45 and just hitting peri-menopause and the hot flushes are a nightmare. I was queuing at the post office just before Christmas and suddenly I could feel the sweat rolling down my back. It's freezing cold outside and I'm in the shops stocking up on ice lollies, getting weird looks. Oh and now the news makes me cry! My Mum had the hot flushes etc.. but she got through the actual menopause without any problems so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Undertone IS everything!! IT does matter in my humble opinion. There are tones that make me look ill because of my slight olive undertone. I have to be careful with what I spend monies on.😊

Back in the, I think, late "'80's or somewhere in the '90's doing your "colours" was very popular. There were 4 categories based on your undertones determined which colours work the best for your complexion. There is "Winter", deep rich cool tones. Think magenta, royal blues & hot pink, red browns; "Summer", pastel version of winter colours but also in cool tones. Think very pale pink, blue white, powder blue; "Autumn" very rich deep warm colours. Think the richness of fall colours & lastly "Spring" softer, more pastel version of autumn. Peach tones, orange reds, cream, chalk white. Most people unconsciously gravitate towards colours that make them feel comfortable. Your undertones leans yellow, so that lipstick is perfect for your complexion. I'd say you maybe more Spring than Autumn. Although some colours that are neutral can cross over. If you aren't sure if you are a cool tone or a warm tone there is a trick you can use. Get two scarf size materials, one in cool tone bright pink & one in a warm peach tone. Wrap your hair in a white towel to hide your hair. Have a mirror by a window for natural light. Take each swatch of material, one at a time & drap it under your face. One or the other will either give life to your complexion or drain it. That'll give an indication of whether cool toned or warm. I hope that helps you take the guess work out of what your skin type is.

Angie, you’re a vision 😍 Hope you had an amazing birthday ❤ You were asking why the warm colors of the lip products look better on you, I think it has everything to do with your undertone. You are a warm season color wise, I would bet on spring, that’s why you look so fabulous in saturated, vibrant colors, both makeup like the orange red lipstick, and clothing. That’s why the cool tones may look ashy on you, because you are a warm season with clearly visible warm undertone. For example, I am a soft summer so all the muted, cool tones suit me the best, and in warm, vibrant colors I look sick, my skin gets this unhealthy tone, dark circles appear under my eyes, and overall I look tired. The opposite might be accurate for you, cool tones wash you out, and the warm ones bring you to life. According to color analysis we look best in our tones and colors from our season palette, so it’s very possible for cool toned lipstick to yellow your teeth visually, even though they’re not yellow. Its just a fun thing to do reaserch about, but a fair warning it’s like a rabbit hole 😂 The more you dig, the harder to come out 😅 But it’s also so much fun, all of a sudden you realize how many different shades of a color there is. True, i think she is the Spring colour season, i am an True Autumn and can't wear cool tones, pink,black pure white, i look sick 😅. She always looks amazing in bright ,saturated warm colours and that explains also why she doesn't like cool toned grey in her eyeshadows plus she can wear any colour and that is a Spring quality for sure😊
