The Moroccan Royal Protocol is set up like that, the national guard officer has to do the official welcome to the first blood Royal (when royalty) or the President of the state, whether it is a male or a female. Queen Elizabeth was saluted the same way when she visited Morocco.

It's hardly strenuous work is it..try running round after two other kids,shopping/cooking/gardening...carrying two cycles up to school so they can ride home..lol, helping with homework ect..!
