@@beazdakid1988 The 4 super bowl winners were teams built by George Young and Ernie Accorisi without Mara interference. Of the others, 2 were in the early days of the teams in the league are long gone. Original owner Tim Mara was one in charge of the team for 3 of them. Wellington inherited great teams from his father and ran them into laughing stocks of the entire sports world. John inherited very good teams which Accorisi built and ran them to the ground too. Don't believe me? Look at the rest of the record. I've been following since 1967 and there's no doubt that overall, they've been a losing organization for the last 60 years.

@@BxDaBarber My point is, he was one of the worst owners in sports. He inherited a very good team and did a great job to keep them at the top by trading draft picks and young players. By 1964, most players were old, past their primes or retired. He had no one to take their places and the team never recovered with his guidance. From that point until his nephew, the other 50% owner, forced him from day to day team operations after the '78 season, they were the worst team in the NFL. Most of his drafts were much, much worse than Gettleman's. After "The Fumble", the Giants were the laughingstock of the entire sports world. It took George Young 5 years to get them to be a decent, respectable team again. Ask any fan that lived thru the 20 years of "Lousy Football".

Lombardi was never available when the Giants needed a head coach. Jim Lee Howell was the head coach when Lombardi, an unknown assistant, left. At that time, he had just led the Giants to two championship games over the last 3 seasons, winning one and losing the other in OT. You think they should've fired him? Landry moved his family to Texas and was out of football for a year. He was going to work in private business. Losing Belichick was George Young's fault. Please provide proof that old man Tim was a racist.

Wellington tried to work with the league, but was known for prolonging a player's strike while his team sank to the bottom of the NFL.
