yeah for sure. if you do not have turrets in the open core i would not recommend putting your loot there. play in the starter unit until you have turrets and power.

if someone is raiding through the wall they also have to raid through the ramps, kinda like a honeycomb

Build it first in a build server, no symmetry and you'll be fine.

I wouldn't recommend it if you don't plan on being active. I would much rather recommend a cheap base with a few bunkers in it to secure your loot while you log off.

You're probably missing something with stability. Make sure all foundations are "connected" not just touching. Ex.: Two points of triangles touching isn't a connection until you add something vertical with stability like a wall/door frame that touches both.

Yes that is something to keep in mind when building this. You will need turrets set up for this design to be really effective.
