This is the beauty of msfs. It can be used for gaming, and also realistic ops and flights using great aircraft

Pro tips: glide mode +afterburner make for the best speeds, especially combined with ballistic dives going directly back into glide mode.

Wow, that looks so cool! It'd be great if third-party developers could add to the scenery and incorporate more ships, the potential from what they have delivered could be amazing.

This thing is so much fun to fly. I just wish Arrakis had a free roam. The buttons for diving and stuff are much better assigned on the Honeycomb Alpha, lol... kinda need them under the thumb haha.

The lack of free roam is a real bummer, but this expansion is amazing otherwise.

yeah, i know why they didn't, but it shows that you can load totally custom environments in the game, which brings up some interesting possibilities... it might be possible to create a free roam mission though...

Normally I’m not one for this but I actually really enjoyed watching. Nice and easy to watch something so different from MSFS! Sounds like you had fun making the video.

Thanks! Hope this buys a pint for ya. Cheers! Don't know where the rest of the message went, but how did you get rid of the white circle? I'd also like to get rid of all the control gauges in the external, but I suppose it's not necessary in these arcade style episodes.

Seems nobody can escape the dreaded Thrustmaster faulty twist axis, sooner or later. Had to put a whole new pot in, and in the end turned out there was also a bad solder joint on the board making that axis erratic. I'm actually surprised, didn't expect an actual Arrakis map. Looks great

From what I understood watching other people trying, you can stop the wing vibrations to glide, and it gives you better afterburner efficiency ;7

Absolute nightmare trying to get that thing sorted out . Never had trouble like this with a Heli . And now CTD's are back since this dune update . Great

Hi. Just subscribed. Great content, well done. So I have played MS FS since the early versions in the 90s plus Xplane etc. But I transitioned to Space Sims in 2014. The best one is Star Citizen. The reason for the transition was the multiplayer and emersion. BTW I’m a PPL SEP land and sea and have my own Czech Sports Cruiser based at EGSX.

I think my one complaint is that it's clearly not designed to be flown in cockpit view. They let us do it, and the cockpit is modeled nicely (movie accurate I'm sure), but the instruments really aren't readable at all.

the trick for the rescue is to use glide mode with afterburner.. gives higher top speed. AND people, don´t pay much mind to the "Top 10" in any MSFS races.. there are way too many exploits, like some dune times are now 7 seconds etc.. It was the same for reno, thats why the competative racing died... there are still a lot of discord and forum threads on what exploits are possible..Just don´t bother comparing.

On the MSFS forums, they are speculating the rock rendering tech probably was created for MSFS 2024 scenery. Yes no doubt this work will also benefit MSFS 2024.

I mean the improvements on CPU utilization. I have a RTX 3060 Ti and an Intel 10700K, and at 1080p with graphics almost maxed out, my main bottleneck is still the CPU due to bad thread utilization of the game. Thread 16 is always a 100% while the others are almost sleeping.@@dtrjones

If this was real, that would be reckless to practice dives at such low altitude. Pilots do practice stalls, engine failures, and spins, but with lots of altitude. Love the video, though! Makes me want to buy this game! Do you have a helicopter rating? Would love to see someone with a helicopter rating fly this! But you're braking any number of FAA regs flying through that canyon. The aircraft should be screaming "TERRAIN! PULL UP!" and "BANK ANGLE" during most of those flights!

I was just trying that landing on botanical station with theh sandstorm for the last 45mins.. I keep getting to that point where you did! argh (well this is the first vid using to .. cheat to see what im not doing right).. afterburning and landing spot on. Be something dumb I hope
