I think it was more of the fact that fat instantly went for him. I think the hmm was "did I take fall damage?" It would be very suspicious if he didn't take fall damage and fat instantly went for him. (he did, and figured out he did later in the video in chat). The invisible spy check isn't a good measurement though anyway as bots can ignore invisible spies, a good one is decloaking far away, and then standing behind the sniper. If he 180 headshots you, it's clearly a bot. If not, then it's likely he's legit, or just a smart hacker who can toggle (smart hackers are rare as most are kids :l ).

it irritates me, not only as a sniper main but as a FPS enjoyer in general how quickly someone will try and witch hunt a player that isn't a bot or a hacker, but will take ages to kick a genuine hacker and bot just because they're a different class to a sniper. i've seen bots and hackers use all the classes, just because someone is a good sniper doesn't always mean they're cheating, that goes for everyone. but it can also be insanely obvious when someone *is* cheating, for example scouts using force of nature and using a double click + crit hack, or spies using a lag cheat so they can easily backstab/facestab people, or heavies using a spinhack. the amount of times i get called a hacker even though my aim is barely decent on a good day is ridiculous. at this point it's just a sniper witch hunt.
@bugsmith9751
@bugsmith9751 3 жыл бұрын
its not just snipers my guy, when people get high crit rate because of their damage output, people start claiming crit hacks, and i have been called a heavy bot a number of times because of probably 200-300 hours as a heavy main with little off classing... 200 hours of heavy leads to really good tracking, and some people think if you track better than them, that you must be cheating
@enthusiasticcannibal2465

@@bugsmith9751 ironically i have also been called a heavy bot before. i have probably less than 20 hours as heavy (i love the character not a huge fan of the playstyle of the class) because essentially it's pretty simple to whizz up the gun and shoot a spy trying to backstab you. all im saying really is all of it is ridiculous how anyone that has more then 100 hours on a class or even just knows HOW to play a class is instantly votekicked or reported on steam by braindead people who can't tell the difference.

@@enthusiasticcannibal2465 yeah, tf2 has a lot of braindead behind it, hell, "you dont cap on high tower" started as a joke, but a lot of people wernt smart enough to catch onto the joke and took it literal i totally understand not being a huge fan of the heavy play style, i had to change mains after so long because after you have played all the mini, fat scout and hoovie you can to spice things up, you tend to go for something else

@@enthusiasticcannibal2465 a lot of the stupidity of "dont cap" boils down to 2 different paths of logic 1 "i heard people screaming dont cap ever since a really old update that maps ending worked totally different on" and 2 "if you cap then everyone will leave! ...just ignore the fact that some of these people have been here for hours for a contract or just want their points so they can sleep" i dont usually cap on some maps because i just dm on them, but so many people from 2fort or ht will join like a pl map or any OTHER ctf map, and flip about capping still

Like LazyPurple said, “No one ever notices you unless you just shot them in the head or if you’re getting murdered by someone right next to you.” It’s just so easy to miss missed shots, even with the machine tracer (which is also why I believe that a trace should be added to all sniper rifles, it does help, even if only a little), but as SOON as someone gets too many headshots they get accused.

i honestly never understood idolization, if i meet some one who i like from yt, movies, or shows, then its basically a hello, and saying i enjoy their work, and treat them like a human, but when people actually freak out and even faint (and i have met some one who claims that no one is like that irl, when there is footage of it through time) thats just insanity to me the other thing i dont get, is people who dont find people who fit their opinions, but change their own personality and opinions to match the person who they like, and find a way to justify anything said person does

I wonder how people feel when they accuse someone of cheating and then see themselves in one of these videos. Is it embarrassing or do they still refuse to believe they were legit?
@MM-qs1nu
@MM-qs1nu 3 жыл бұрын
It most likely depends. Some people saw how good he was, and honestly thought he was too good and was hacking in some way, then they see the video and feel bad about it. There are a ton of people though who have such massive egos, they cant accept the fact hes that good, so they hold onto that belief with their fragile egos.

perhaps the worst part of the ongoing tf2 bot crisis isn't actually getting one in your game it's the fact that players are now so used to cheaters that it only takes one butthurt cheat accusation and everyone just goes with it i remember a time when people were a lot smarter when it came to sniffing out cheaters

some people call hackusations on innocent players, and they get the boot, some people call out blatant hackers, and people say they are just good... i have literally called out some one whose steam name was a link to their youtube which was just them hacking, and people defended him on both teams saying he was probably just good, had nothing to say about his yt channel tho, just kept saying hes a good sniper main

I just leave when I get in a match with an ultra low settings 3000 hour sniper (or annoying hard class main in general). No point in getting mad about it, though there's always like a 20% chance your leave message will be put in a frag compilation

if im up against an insane sniper or heavy, i dont leave, i personally love the challenge of finding something they dont expect that you can take them on with. one of the best matches i have had was mostly me trying to fight the best heavy main i have ever seen, and their pocket med, while only playing demo to better my demo skill, i only took out the pair once, near the end of the 2fort round, and actually added them because they were respectful, and a honestly fun challenge im a casual player when it comes to most games, but some times i actively look for challenges, because they can be fun as hell, but i do respect some one who can realize when something will get them mad and avoid it, its so rare to find, im a salt miner in any competitive game, if i see that some one gets angry, i dig at it to make them more predictable, but i also warn people thats what im doing after a moment, only met 1 person who when i told them thats what i was doing, they stepped back and calmed down final summation, its very late, im very tired, and i dont know when to stop typing when im tired

teammates after they heard fat voice chatting "he isn't hacking" my guy replied with "you're wrong". solid argument. People really become so sensitive after the bot invasion. Sometimes it's really hard to spot a cheater if they try to hide it a little bit but most of the time people just do hacksuation because they can't acknowledge the fact that there's always a player that is better then them and not every good player hacks.
