Thank you Thomas. It is thanks to BoxCar that we are in this theater. He offered it to us just before he passed away and then we were able to purchase it from his family a couple of years later. He was a class act.

Irish Trad music has had a deep influence on country and bluegrass music in the USA since the beginning of the country…it deepened in the 1840s and on, when Ireland’s Hunger forced so many to leave for better opportunities. All my grandparents immigrated from Ireland in the 1920s. Erin Go Bragh!🇺🇸🇮🇪

@monkeys350 Sorry for misinterpreting you! I definitely agree with you. To really play bluegrass you have to great because otherwise you can't keep up with the blazing speeds!

you have got to be great at any instrument to play bluegrass.
@monkeys35013 жыл бұрын
@drinfested Oh sorry for confusing you, what I meant by that comment was that any instrument that one plays, they have to be great at it, not multiple instruments. And I agree with you

Geeez, what cult did they escape from. That much mom and apple pie makes me toss. I'd say get an edge but I don't think they would know an edge if it cut them. Freaks you say? ...yes. Wow totally weird !
@drinfested13 жыл бұрын
@monkeys350 Two years ago I know, but that is such a stupid comment I must chime in. To play bluegrass you need to learn ONE instrument and ONLY one. The bluegrass musicians who played one instrument primarily (sometimes another one OK) turned out to be the best by and large. This is the problem with the Duttons. Their music is quite gimmicky, and they apparently spend so much time playing all the different instruments, that none of them are "great" and any one.
