i'd kill to see a modern revision of this, it looks really sick.

This ride was WAY before its time and definitely a predecessor to the modern rides we have today… definitely makes it scarier to just have a lap bar, no one was worried about dying back then.. 🤣 check out the guy rocking it too… crazy… 🤣

I was 10 when I rode this in 1975 at a high-school carnival, it was a crazy ride cause it felf like your where going to slip out of seat, there was just a lap bar and seat belt it should of had shoulder restraints,cause at some point when the ride starts you get that right twist it come close to going upside-down but never did,great memories,, Butler Amusement owned it at the time

…so you were born in 1965?
@RavenTheLabrador2 жыл бұрын
@@shapejaper4 yes that would be right if he was 10 and yes i know what you are thinking but he never said he was in high school he only said he went on it at a high school carnival you don't have to be a student to attend most often family's are allowed as well.🙂👍✌ ______________________ UPDATE I see you changed your comment after you were called on what you said that's pretty funny lol. 😂🤣

I grew up in Wichita, and I went to Joyland a LOT as a kid in the 1960s. I had no idea Herb was the engineering genius he was until I saw this video. I only knew of him as the guy who opened Joyland a decade before I was born. I have never seen this ride anywhere, but I would ride it if I did. It looks fun!

Why did it take two years for this to show up in my feed???

I love it. It reminds me a bit of Eyerly or Hrubetz rides. Very old-school and cool.

I'm sure if this were made today the ride would be built to have a smoother transition while spinning.

It looks like a doozy! Did Herb ever ride that thing?

Jeebus! Reminds me of a predecessor to the Turbo, which itself was rather obscure. That this has only a lapbar is absolutely insane!

That would be a fantastic ride if those were cages instead of open seats.

It looks similar to the rock-o-planes. I wonder how you aboard people on the ride, I also wonder if it is possible to go upside down
