Hi folks. Im from Russia and i learned and spoke with many people about this case. And noone could come up with any cohesive story regarding the case. It' s really odd. What makes it even stranger that there are so many facts from protocols that just contradict each other
@stephaniepineault75916 жыл бұрын
Is there any particular theory that you find the most plausible? I guess I'm just curious what the Russian people think?
@SofiiaKulish6 жыл бұрын
Stephanie Pineault I've also read several Russian documents available online, and it seems that the most realistic explanation is carbon monoxide intoxication which caused temporary sickness and loss of clear thinking of expedition members. But we may never know. P.S. Sorry for my broken English:)
@VetkinaOlga6 жыл бұрын
There are a couple of theories, they branch to 3 types: supernatural, natural and human. Supernatural are the most boring: UFO's, wrath of ancient goddess of a local tribe of native Siberians, literally no analysis just THE GHOST/GODS/ALIENS DID IT! Natural include infrasound waves (lunacy imo), an avalanche (lunacy as well, there were no sign of it), foehn wind (most plausible) and the intoxication by fumes from the rocket launching trails nearby (that didn't happen). Human factor tends mostly to be conspiracies, involving KGB trials of secret weapons and espionage. But there are theories that they were attacked either by the locals or prison escapees. I myself believe in human versions, most elaborate of them is the espionage one - there were traces of radioactive material fond on some of the clothes. I stick to this one personally, read a book about it, a very thorough work, really impressed me. However, I'm not against foehn wind one, it's just not very popular so I haven't read anything comprehensive on it.
@kingAmongkings176 жыл бұрын
the radioactive particles on their clothes came from the tent stove they had been using the whole trip. The same stove that started smoking/caught fire, forcing the kids to cut their way out of the tent and head for shelter in the woods.
@VetkinaOlga6 жыл бұрын
There were no traces of fire in the tent whatsoever. And if my memory serves me well, stove was even fond packed. They didn't even installed it. And they were not kids exactly, they were college students, experienced tourists, in top physical shape. One of the members, Semyon Zolotarev, was a 38 yo World War 2 veteran. He had 4 awards for his service in battle.

from what i gathered so far was that these unfortunate people were warned by the locals before embarking on their fateful journey, it was said to them that they can hike to any mountain “except this one” for this is where fire descends and is a forbidden mountain. These people were burned from within (microwaved) just like the 185 thousand strong Assyrian army of King Sennacherib. According to Jewish legends, fallen angels always ascend to Heaven in order to temporarily encamp near Heaven to hear the hymns but afterwards they land back to earth in the form of small asteroids in remote parts of the earth. These godless people pitched their tent within the impact site of a returning angel/demon. If you’re a bookworm like me, this is how King Solomon captured Asmodeus, after the demon landed they spiked his water well full of alcoholic wine and was intoxicated and was chained while asleep. some demonic beings are part physical and part spiritual.

The new investigation will only consider 3 theories. Avalanche. Snow slab and typhoon or something. Why don’t people talk about the fact that Zolotaryov was not really Zolotaryov? They exhumed and tested him and his DNA matches no one in his known family? He was not connected to the college in any way and not a ski instructor else where. Who was he? It seems to me that karmen vortex street is the most plausible answer for the events of that night.

Right. They're frequently referred to as "hikers" or "students" - they were really Russian outdoor survivalists. @Piatequila me too..I have a feelings of doubt on him
@WyattRyeSway4 жыл бұрын
Piatequila ....he had done hikes before. Sometimes he had flare ups but usually the exercise did him good. He was also smitten by Luda Dubinina (though he kind of denied it years later). If you ever saw an interview with him, you would not think he was shady. You would think he wished he could have died with them. They died in 1959. He died in 2013. He had 54 years of guilt, sadness, confusion etc. He never got over it. When he died, the articles called him the 10th member of the Dyatlov hiking group. My mom said when he died “he survived but he didn’t get to actually live after that”. The last interview he gave, he was an old man by then, obviously....they asked him what is the first thing he will do when he gets to Heaven and he said “find my friends and ask them what happened and tell them I’m sorry that I left”. The interviewer asked him what he thought he could have done and he said nothing but we were a group. I read somewhere he was best with a compass too. That may have been the guilt. Had he been there, Igorka might not have been off course. Yurka had a rheumatic disorder. Normally it affected his joints but as the trucks they were riding in were bouncing, he had a soft tissue/connective tissue flare up and knew those took longer to heal. He was healed by the time he made it back to UPI for spring term. He was part of the rescue team but they didn’t have to take the buses to the trains to the the trucks etc. He needed his doctor. Once he got medication, he was better. Then they took the rescuers to the area by helicopters, I think. I can’t remember right off the top of my head. I doubt Yuri Yudin was anything other than a sick guy, just as he claimed.

Colleen Jeffries ....I don’t think he did. He would have been nearly or completely destroyed by the government if he knew something he was not supposed to know and if somehow helped in a coverup, he would have been rewarded. Instead, he lived a very normal soviet life and then a fairly common post soviet one. People always wonder about him but imagine being him and just not wanting to slow your friends down. So, you leave and you live the rest of your life with the guilt? Survivors guilt. You saw it in people that survived the shoah, the war, the blockade etc. If they lost family members, they had guilt they survived. Very sad to hear their stories.

The more i read into it, I do as well. There are lots of interesting nuggets of info that are rarely if ever covered in any of these online incident descriptions, that you can find on your own. Like for instance, in some of the bodies there were signs of livor mortis on the front side (stomach) of the body yet, the body was found on its back. So this meant the victim was lying face down for sometime after death, but was then rolled onto their backs by someone or something.

Don’t trust the Russian government to say anything factual. Remember this is Vladimir Putin we’re talking about, the same Russian President who tried to cover up the details of the Kursk disaster back in 2002.

They're spreading articles around now saying that it was definitely a different kind of avalanche. Only thing is, their injuries were oddly similar to cattle mutilations, strange lights had been reported over the area that night, they found burn marks on the sides/way up in the pine trees, and there were traces of radiation in their clothes. Avalanches don't do that.

I just subbed 😄 On another video you commented about changing your intro... I love it! Similar to an intro to a tv series such as The Walking Dead or Daredevil, the intro, in a way, prepares you for the show. It puts you in the mood. You did exactly that. Cool intro music by the way!

I am very sorry for my book length comment. Like everyone who knows of it, I have been and am.fascinated by the subject. And all of a sudden the answers popped up in my brain, and off I went, typing busily. I’d be interested in what others might think. But also, I’m impressed by the research here. There were several things that were new info to me. I liked the fact that the presentation wasn’t spoiled by juvenile over-emotion. This is a.really good presentation and production. Thank you. Kudos

Yuri must have been a popular name back then. Ten people, 8 of them guys and three are named Yuri. Kind of how the name Michael used to be. Whatever happened that night, it was a nightmare. However long it took them to die seems as though it was torture. I can't imagine freezing to death is easy. I wish we knew for sure why they left the tent. I haven't camped much and never have in the winter. Everyone whether their first time or extremely experienced would not have left that tent without important clothing that would cause certain death without it. It had to have been of the utmost importance for them to leave quickly without what they needed but what though? I wonder about the older guy. Didn't they do a dna test where his body was supposed to be him and it turned out it wasn't? Why did he say that people would be talking about their expedition for years to come? Did he know something? Was him dying part of the plan or he didn't realize how bad the situation could/would get? So many questions. No answers...well...nothing that makes complete sense anyway.

Yuri certainly was one lucky man (put his afflictions to the side here). Even after 20 years reading about the case, I’m still perplexed by it. Bring on Part II!

This Channel is awesome, I subscribed on the last video I watched, which was the Wendigo video and I am glad I did. Because these video's appear to be done in a historical storytelling way and not a creepypasta or just speculation (which can be fun) type of storytelling, which is more interesting.

This seems like a really difficult & risky endeavor, especially back in those days. You'd have to be either extremely confident in your ability, or incredibly naieve.

so from what I gathered, they got smoke inhalation while in tents...they cut their way out confused and dizzy from monoxide poisoning...thats why the cut out is from inside...their is another channel on here that explains it pretty well!
@slopcrusher34825 жыл бұрын
Problem is the stove wasn’t even set up the night of the event, and the theory that it was taken down before the tent filled with smoke is BS, that exaust pipe would have been extremely hot, and they would have waited until the morning to disassemble it before they packed out when it was cool

These were all very experienced hikers and had hiked in extremely cold conditions before; it doesn’t seem likely they would have done anything so stupid as give themselves carbon monoxide poisoning.
