I decided to film a follow up to my Dyson Airwrap Review since you all had SO many questions. I'll be addressing the most asked:
Do the curls last?

I'll also be sharing some styling tips that I have picked up in the last couple of weeks of using this tool. I'll show you hairstyling techniques to get voluminous, longer lasting curls AND how to curl hair extensions.

I HAVE BEEN SEATCHING FOR SOMEONE WITH A COMPETENT & SKILLED REVIEW. these other chicks are just letting their tangled thick sections get sucked in to the wand willy-nilly and then theyre surprised its not smooth when it comes out? I would be pissed if I worked at Dyson PR for wasting a package on them. Thank you so much for showing how it actually works when you brush and spray some treatment in your hair. I also want to applaud you for doing a second tutorial after you had some time for the learning curve. The first time using a new hair tool is always awkward. @@mishmash3968 Honestly, I own one - it's really not that hard. I'm not great at hair myself but, after three or four sections on the barrels, I got the hang of it. Out of the box, I thought it was really user friendly so I'm genuinely pretty surprised looking at some of the online videos. Before receiving it, I had looked at the video from Ariba and the instructional videos that Dyson provides a link to (on the cardboard insert in the box) - it didn't take a lot of research or effort.

Finally someone who understands the importance of sectioning the hair. It’s quite important to do so when using this tool because you end up just blowing you unsectioned hair all over the place. Gorgeous hair, great tutorial and tips

I appreciate this review. I understand that the product is expensive (it's Dyson - it's obviously going to be overpriced) but it's not some magical hair tool that does absolutely everything, perfectly with no manual effort. I think because it's shaped like a hot curling wand, testers are presuming its going to give 2second perfect coils just by holding it next to their head. But it's obviously more like a blowdry curl (with a roundbrush). You still need to 'place' your hair (the loose flyaways) around the barrel ~ and slide the dryer down and back up your hair to get good tension ~ and not touch the curls until your whole head is finished. You've provided some really basic but useful tips that no one else is explaining, to get some really great results from this product.

There actually is another color, it’s gray & purple rather than gray & pink. Also the 2 straight attachments aren’t necessarily for thick hair or thin hair, they are firm smoothing & soft smoothing attachments for either a pin straight look or a more voluminous, blown-out look. But awesome video! You did much better than some of these larger channels that just fly through it!

Hair texture plays an important role here too. Her hair is thick, coarser and not naturally pin straight. This usually gives better curling results that are more lasting imo. Great tutorial I enjoyed watching.

I am thinking how successful one is with this air wrap styler depends upon hair TYPE. It seems people with rougher hair have more success than people with softer hair. Just an observation.

I have serious hair fall problem. Doing so many things to keep the hair on my head. I wish i had the budget to buy dyson one. Its totally worth the price tag. People with no hair fall issue will never understand the struggle. Spending 500 is nothing compared to getting bald. Looks so pretty. I'm not convinced though. $500 bucks is nuts lol and I don't believe that this is absolutely necessary. I don't believe they will hold either or be very smooth. I don't know if you are aware of this but when you apply styling products you don't put hardly any on the front.

I treated myself to the $499 fine hair version. I have fine long hair, and like a curl. I don’t have time in the morning to shower, blow dry, and curl. So, to prevent hair damage, I wash my hair at night, and sleep in fabric twist curlers. It gives me a nice curl, but is a real pain in the butt to deal with every night. I figured that since this dries and curls, I would get the best of both worlds. If it didn’t provide heat protection, I wouldn’t have bothered. So far, I’ve used the dryer and the curler. The dryer worked fine, without frizz, but I used an anti-frizz oil by Frieda first. The curler is insane. My very first curl looked just like the videos. It takes practice, but I’m loving it. Plus, it seems to make my hair silky smooth, but I’m not sure how.

I don't have curly hair - mine is long and relatively straight - but I got the complete kit and I have used every attachment in the box - each one gives a different finish. I reckon it's worth it - if you're going to make such a significant outlay already, what's a little bit more?! You'll get more versatility, more looks...totally worth it in my opinion.

My hair looks NOTHING like that with the Dyson. I have watch the gazillion tutorials and I have attempted to curl my hair probably 25 to 30 times. Every single time, no matter what way I do it, the curls on the bottom are already falling out before I even finish curling the last couple of sections. It is not a quick process by any means. Worst most frustrating part is I have nothing to show for the time I put into trying to make my hair turn out like your hair. All the tutorials is what made me go out and spend a ridiculous amount of money purchasing the airwrap. And because it didn't work I spent hundreds more on styling products from the most expensive styling products to affordable drugstore styling products. Last thing I'll mention is that it is an extremely difficult styling tool to use. The learning curve is massive. So this tutorial is extremely deceiving in that it appears to be a miracle styling tool that magically curls your hair with little to no effort in very small amount of time without having to use styling creams or hairspray. In not trashing the tutorial but I want people who read the comments bc they are contemplating buying the airwrap that the results that are achieved in this tutorial are extremely rare for people other than the ladies who do KZbin tutorials.

Section your hair, use it on damp hair etc. etc. Dyson airwrap sucks. It breaks my hair and create crazy flyaways. It damages hair even without the high heat.

I don't know about Ariba but, if I want to fix up part of my hair, I just dampen the section with either water or a wet styling product and then re-style that piece with whatever attachment I want to get the finish I'm looking for. If I had loose waves or curls the day before and I want to switch my look to something more tousled and beachy, taking random sections around my head, I dampen each section with a beach wave spray and then wrap it around a barrel like I would a normal curling wand (so upside down, manually wrapping the hair around the barrel), leaving the ends out. Gives a really nice, textured finish.
