According to CBS, the Eagles could look to trade veteran CB Darius Slay closer to the trade deadline to free up a roster spot for a potential defensive line move. Slay has been a staple for the Birds throughout the past five seasons, but recent play and antics off the field have left some fans wondering if trading Slay and playing Kelee Ringo or Isaiah Rodgers would make more sense. If Slay were to be traded, could the Eagles turn his roster spot into a move to acquire the Bills edge rusher Von Miller? Also, Nick Sirianni and Vic Fangio are making some changes on the defense to include Cooper DeJean and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. Finally, AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith practiced again and Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts had a productive bye week!

The biggest problem with Miller specifically isn't the contract...it's the age. I think we have developmental talent in Hunt and I don't want to have another "Kevin byard" moment on our team. Last season we *needed help* badly in the secondary and we picked up byard..older guy who was having a good season in a specific scheme..I see the EXACT same thing happening IF we try for Von. I love Von Miller-loved watching him play growing up as well. I just don't think he's a good match for the Birds...especially if we want to get younger on defense.

I said in the pre season that the defense will take multiple games to gell. Fangios d, can be dominate, but his track record says it takes some time. They will finish a top 10 D. The offense is very disponting. I know all are stars are out, so the is were game plan means everything. Barkley should have kept Tampa O on the sidelines, but each play call was a pass. Plus Dotson must do more. As him what he is most comfortable doing. He was single handly made the play that Godert 63 yard catch in .N.O.
