Love a lot of things about this team. The slow starts are baffling and making us tear our hair out. Very few downfield passes, especially last week. What gives? Do we want the D to be able to stay in the box to stop the run? Have not been stretching the field. No x plays to our very talented receivers. Seem to never have a quick-hitter as a hot read on blitzes. Is Hurts injured? Unable to make reads quickly? Does the coaching staff see no issue with all the sacks he takes? Yes, it feels better, by a wide margin, than this time last year but these are real issues and not the sort of thing you expect from a team with the biggest aspirations.

Coach Stoutland needs to refocus his group because against the Panthers there were some missed assignments, and Saquon wasn't able to break a big gain and Gainwell also was limited. They seemed to be looking forward to this weekend and lost focus on the Panthers and allowed them to linger. Jalen needs to take what the defense gives him and let his backs and receivers work for YAC instead of holding the ball too long then either throwing it away or running for just a couple of yards.

He seems to have a real problem with that. When there is a blitz he needs to hit the hot read for a few yards. Actually throwing the ball down the field would help to loosen things up underneath and for Saquon. Were there any attempts deep against the Panthers?

Thank you for not being a Debbie Downer. I am like you. I think Jalen and A.J. have been to good of friends to let this get in between them. AJ has admitted he has some mental problems. I saw that he spent some time with AJ and his family. He was playing with AJ’s daughter who he calls his niece and Goddaughter.
