I met GM Tino Tuliosega in the mid-nineties. He was a formidable Teacher, Very Caring Individual and the REAL THING!

I trained under my uncle Stephen Hauoli Kupihea over twenty years ago as a teenager in Honolulu, HI. He had only wonderful things to say of Master Tuiolosega. It's great to see these videos... how the art originated, progressed, and grew.

I’m usually very open minded and tolerant when it comes to these things however, it seems to me from Viewing this That anyone can look awesome when they’re UKE Is throwing in slow motion strikes and where they’re compliant

I think a lot of it has to do with the founder being a physical beast of a guy in his prime and could have probably made square dancing a formidable method.

Where did iuma Lima lama come from?
@BlueSky-sf4rj Жыл бұрын
From Hawaii. The Grand Master is Samoan descent who lived in Hawaii. I believe Lima Lama derived from Chinese martial arts.

Not a fan of this style, I was curious and looked through a lot of videos about it, and I haven't seen a single one that impressed me either for skill or effectiveness. it looks a lot like American Kenpo, too convoluted and silly and most practitioners seem to have very sloppy technique.

No connection with the arm and body with these tippy-tappy strikes I see. That doesn’t stop grown men in real life outside the school. Check out Juan Meza Kung Fu San Soo videos for real life what blows work and how to properly deliver power.

Hi Albert. Would it be alright with you if I used this video to promote Kakulama classes in New Zealand? I trained under William Dutton in Santa Cruz, and I remember when he and Rafa went on the Spain / Mexico trips with Pops as assistant instructors. This brings back a lot of memories.
