@@MtgJedi Get rid of his free turn ability and have all AI use skills the same way - as of now I don't even know how to understand why he will do certain skills or not change form etc. It's such a sad thing where the whole boss is based around having a heal reduction but he can swap it to heal himself etc... then you see teams that are essentially 5 Gnuts and they beat him in 20seconds. It's terrible design. Bommal is a better idea of a super hard but tight mechanics.

@@MtgJedi they need to tone down the mechanics, it’s way RNG reliant to beat him for a lot of ppl (unless you are running super OP teams that just use brute force to kill on seconds). Not being able to kill on one of his forms needs to change for one.

@@Cedreazy absolutely! I beat him on normal this rotation only by shear luck and running it for 20-25mins each run and finally the RNG fell my way. Skill was not required to beat him at all.

Since Amius was released, I've never even bothered to beat him when i saw his mechanics.

​@@MtgJediI'm in same boat. Destroying a ton of builds, having to redo masteries, etc just to attempt and likely fail, isn't worth it. The game makes trying things too difficult, just swapping around gear and back to original state on a 5 champs is going to cost 5+million silver, taking out masteries is 300 gems per champ you have to change, changing blessing more gems. And all this does not guarantee you succeed, it could be a ton of just wasted silver and gems. One day my existing build will be able to demolish it, until then it gets a few attempts a rotation and is then ignored.

That kit... If so and so, then so. After so, this and that. But if so and so is this, then that means Amius goes apeshit. Finally, apeshit does so this and that this so is that this. So. Game over. Things seem to go well, and then he gets a gazillion turns in a row, wildly flailing all he has at you, leaving you wondering what the hell happened. It's confusing, and as much fun as going to Ikea on a saturday.

I beat normal and hard in the last Sintranos rotation but I'm struggling on normal right now. I found your video interesting and informative as I find going over this boss's mechanics and how to deal with them helpful. What I found most out of reach for me was having multiple champs in good protection gear. Having protected buffs seems to make the fight waaayyyy easier. If I could change one thing about Amius without significantly changing him, it would be getting rid of the cooldown reduction punishment. Changing gear and masteries is just too expensive.

I did normal with Mythrala, Lydia, Freyja, Oella, Kaiden. No damage dealers. Oella and Mythrala with Brimstone.

@Dunkirk101 Kaiden tanked ignore Def A1s. He ate at least a dozen. I did not need the revive. Freyja is in a protection set. She gave shields and cleanse opposite Mythrala.

Kaiden is in speed, accuracy, defiant. 50k HP. 4500 Def. 208 Spd. 6 star Cruelty. Freyja is 63k HP. 4500 Def. 268 Spd. 9 piece protection. 4 star temporal chains.

Blessing level really helps. Kaiden 6*. Mythrala and Oella 5*. Freyja 4*. Lydia 2*.

I beat hard for the first time this rotation. An important point I think people need to remember The 2nd form hits your champ with the lowest hp. So you need to make sure your tank has a high blessing so take less damage.

Yeah that’s what I do I make the highest blessings champion my tank with the lowest hp and highest def

My biggest complaint about Amius is the fact that he doesn't cycle his skills in order. Every other boss (other than Hydra) will do their skills in order. Example: Demon Lord will ALWAYS do AoE 1 -> AoE 2 -> Stun -> Repeat. Amius on the other hand will do whatever skill he wants all willy nilly which makes RNG on the runs go through the roof.

i just beat animus this rotation for the first time,,, i feel the limiting of my toons is the reason why it took so long pythion 6star Blessing scyl 3 star mythrala 2 star ruel the huntsman 5star and nekmo thar 6star i failed 2 times then i put ruel in team and won... thanks for the info

Block revive works on the second form. I have done it with Lydia and Fenax

Only Rathalos is accesable. Kaja was a deck of fait event, and I think Padraig was too. Glaecad and Searsha are all based on luck and many shard pulls. But someone might have them 😂

Man even normal Amius gives me a headache.. Had to beat him around 15 times this rotation cause he dies to A1 over and over until I'm about to toss my phone

heal reduction, block bufs, healer and reviver. No nukers just 2x 3 stars brimestone. I win with him on AUTO mode HARD in 65 turns :D Duchess, Wythir, Artak, Drexthar and Scion

@@MtgJedi Hi Mtg :) I don't know if I understand correctly, Scion has heal reduction and Wythir clears debuffs. I put this five against Amius and they won, I didn't do anything - full auto mode

Just change the cooldown reduction punishment, so we don’t have to change masteries. That is my biggest complaint

I have two of these champs, and only got Sicia in a lucky pull, so not terribly accessible. Also, since Rathalos and Sicia are not available on Normal, we could call it zero.

@@MtgJedi Mikage is not available for the ally attack, but Lonatharil is. Duchess is available in place of Glaicad for the aoe revive and inc atk. To replace Kaja, Duchess already does block debuffs, and Arbiter can provide the TM fill and 2nd aoe revive. I actually replace Rathalos as well because my Gharol has 6* crushing rend and does significantly more damage. Could a team of Gharol, Duchess, Arbiter, Sicia, Lonatharil do this? Looks like it, but mine doesn't work on auto with the champions as I have them built, and frankly, this fight is a time sink, so I'll most likely pass on fussing with it much more this rotation.

in theory getting the best mythic in the game is a lot easier to get than this "free" champ as he is impossible to get, unless they re-release him

I don't bother Amius or Bomball I won't waste my time for 20-30 minutes to manually defeat them if I can't full auto it's not worth my time there's way to much other content I can focus on

Love the content ! Ngl tho it is not an "easy" team what you used. I used Elva, Minaya, Sethallia, Stag Knight and Ursala. I think Amius is alright the way he is and quite fun. Only frustration is getting punished for having cycle of magic.

Im more so a casual player so I just havent put the time into farming good enough gear and get top tier champions. Ive tried so many times to beat him and came close with one team but every single time, i somehow fall out of rythm, he cleanses everthing off, heals almost completely and squad wipes me. I nearly beat him on normal after 18 minutes and then it just went goofy so I havent tried to beat him in forever. Im not going to regear my entire roster so i can get everyone over 300 speed. thats so goofy. Plarium is ridiculous for this boss

So let me get this right, they make a boss where you can't just haphazardly put a team together and guarantee a win outcome? Are we really mad about a boss you actually have to put not only effort into building your team, but have to actually monitor and use strategy? So if they make Amius easier to Vanilla predictability to where you can plug in x champions and auto win every time...that will be fun...? I thought a game was supposed to be challenging...and maybe unpredictable at times...I must not get the gist of the value of winning... I abuse ellipses...

This boss is annoying, the TM masteries or gear setting him off is just stupid. Got him halfway dead and then your gonna heal everyone but cycle of magic kicks in and he just starts picking your team off. Start over. The TM would be fine if it wasn't random champs each rotation. Plarium, what made you think even with 4 days or free regearing that your player base wants to regear and/or remaster champs every time a new rotation of this boss comes up?

Boss needs rework. If you need 290 spd on almost all champs to beat it on auto and it still fail even if you manual it why bother? I have given up on this boss months ago because I can never beat it.
