It won't slip once the knot is pulled tight, that's why you leave a slight tag. I use this knot all the time and with braid, never seen it fail.

That is a clinch knot. Not the best for bigger fish. I'd highly recommend learning how to tie a uni knot. Works for just about all occasions.

Ini Clinch knot kan Brother Mas Walang. Tapi cara ikat yang bro tunjukkan agak unik. Mantap bro. saya sudah uji dan buat video tentang ujian kekuatan ikatan/simpulan ini. Sekadar berkongsi dengan rakan2 sahabat pemancing, jangan sesekali gunakan ikatan ini untuk tali sulam/benang/PE/Braid. Kerana saya sudah uji, ikatan ini pasti akan terlucut. manakala, kiranya menggunakan tali monofilament, kekuatan ikatan ini adalah sekitar 65% berbanding kekuatan asal tali.

An even easier knot is just use a loop knot like you do when you make at the top looped end of snelled hook. Then take the loop end of the line and pass it through the top eye of the swivel and pull the looped end though pass the knot. Then insert the swivel through the loop and pull tight. The swivel can now be easily attached and detached at the beginning and end of every fishing trip without the need to ever cut the line

I agreed with you that the Uni knot being better, but after watching Salt Strong tests I'm not sure now. I've always used the Uni and mucked up the Clinch. But after synching down better I got the Clinch knot to work. As it turns out, according to test on KZbin by Salt Strong, the Clinch is 14% stronger than the Uni when using Mono. Both knots are the same with Fluoro. But you're right when it comes to tying braid onto swivels or directly to hooks. The Clinch knot slips but the Uni knot doesn't according to Salt Strong who did tests. See the tests on kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2SVeJyrhpmbfNU And in another test - just adding one more loop thru the eye makes it slightly stronger with Mono (10%) and Fluoro (6%) - this is called a Trilene. I'm not sure in the scheme of things if this would affect your catch rate :) See the subsequent test by Salt Strong kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWquppV3p72Ae6M Conclusion. Use the Trilene knot on Mono and Flouro. And Uni knots on Braid
