Hello friends! In today's video, I want to tell you all the secrets and tips to be successful in growing lettuce organically at home since we can all enjoy this wonderful vegetable that can be used in countless preparations.
We will learn what are the factors to take into account for success with your cultivation:
Substrate where to plant the lettuce. We must incorporate compost rich in organic matter, and micro and macro nutrients.
Hours of sun per day that lettuce should receive. To be successful you have to plant it where it receives more than 6 hours of sun per day, except during the summer since it is very susceptible and can go to seed very quickly.
Irrigation: lettuce hates any type of water stress, so it is crucial that it does not lack or have too much water. In summer we must water twice a day, avoiding watering on days when it rains to prevent rot.
Organic fertilizer or fertilizer for lettuce: well-cured chicken manure or cattle manure is perfect for providing the lettuce with a lot of nitrogen, which is what allows the plant to produce more and larger leaves so we can have an abundant harvest.
This ultra-versatile vegetable is perfect for small spaces, such as a patio or balcony, even on a window since it can be grown in pots without problems.

Hola martin me encanta tus videos quisiera preguntarte si haciendo cultivo de lechuga en botellas pet para abonarla o nutrirla lo puedo hacer con lixiviado de humus de lombriz en vez de solucion nutritiva
