In this video I talk about the key things I wish I knew as a Junior Developer. If I would have known these things sooner I could have advanced quicker and made bigger salaries a lot sooner.

Yes, soft skills are essential. It doesn't matter well you code when you cannot communicate with tech and non-tech audiences.

just started my journey a few months ago with a web dev bootcamp, only had one interview so far, but i definitely have work to do still especially when it comes to actually talking about the concepts, i can look at syntax and tell whats going on no problem but i am not good at talking about how specific technologies work yet

Brian, thank you sooo, so much for this upload... I really appreciate, how down to earth you are! I mostly appreciate that you don't come on here to humble brag, like most KZbinrs who post coding videos!! I'm about to restart/repeat the first phase of bootcamp, because I flunked the the first-time around, mainly because I'm too much of an introvert. 👊🏽

1:20 setup your IDE such that it shows who edited the lines of code last. This way you can see who and when it was changed. Then you can just ask them directly. They might think it's passive aggressive assuming, you already knew who it was, now trying to publically shame them.
