Some of those cans have sealant in them. You want to avoid those since those sealants will often cause more damage than good. If you want to do it between the backyard way and the professional way. You can buy a real tank of pure r134 and pag oil with a vaccum pump and gauges. It cost me about 150$ for all that. Its totally worth it since i use it for my z, my daily driver and the wifes car. As well as friends and family. Great video as usual 👍 still gonna be useful for many people who like the quick easy way.

Cool thanks! Now if I can just get all the vent door motors working. Any suggestions on that? Parts aren’t available but looks like may be able to replace the motors in them.

Oof good question, maybe try to lubricate the hinges if not may need to go to the scrap yard

@@ZBruhzchannel actually this was a while ago. Since then I bought an interior out of another Z. I pulled the whole center section along with the second gen HVAC computer and POD. It’s all in now, charged and working well. Thanks for all the videos!

Did I miss the part when I vacuumed the air and held pressure for 30min to an hour? Also u want to drain the compressor oil and replace same amount with mineral oil if not you will damage your components
@jeremythompson68223 жыл бұрын
He already bleed the system but you are absolutely correct about the mineral oil.
@ZBruhzchannel3 жыл бұрын
Like Jeremy Said the system was already bled prior to the video and you are correct about the mineral oil, but as I stated in the video this is a cheap backyard fix not the professional way and I am just repeating what I have done in the past that has worked for me with no issues.

Do you need to remove the compressor to drain/add oil?
@Brandon-uy1uv Жыл бұрын
R134a hates mineral oil, you are supposed to use pag oil, or ester oil
@alexmahut5843 жыл бұрын
R12 O-ring seals are not compatible with R134A,you need to change all of them. Compressor oil is also not compatible with R134A,you need to replace it. Otherwise in a few months either you will loose all the refrigerant due to seals failure or the compressor will broke.
@Hexium942 жыл бұрын
Im also pretty sure the system needs placed under a vacuum before putting in refrigerant because moisture + refrigerant will create a corrosive mixture and the vacuum pulls out the moisture, then fill the system from a vacuum Also ac drier/reciever technically meeds replaced every time the ac system is opened up

I currently do not. But I am working with a couple of professionals on making a video so individuals can have the 100% correct way.

How do u replace a/c compressor?
@ZBruhzchannel3 жыл бұрын
Replacing is pretty simple. I don't have a video on it but there should be a write up on one of the forums. I would google "ac compressor replacement on a z32" and it should bring up a ton of information for you!

He needed to put it under vacuum first. The kid doesn't know anything about air-conditioning. This bush fix is the worst I've ever seen, very harmful to the A/C system. But he means well.
