if anyone wants to make their silver look brand new, get some Mothers mag and aluminum polish on a rag, scrub it until the rag becomes black, then follow up with a new rag. I promise you the silver will shine like the day you got it.

The chain isn't fake. This is an very old method of cleaning gold as well I've done it for year's. Tip after putting 925 Sterling silver in water dry it very well and shine it with some oil.

Another tip with this same method is if it’s really bad like realllly bad where the silver is black then it’s really helpful to use a Brillo pad or like a rough sponge rub it agains like the sink edge and you’ll see way faster results

I think that it's various from a person to another how fast their silver gets rusty, maybe depends on the saltiness of sweat or smth, just the silver is the same and doesn't get equally rusty with everyone. but some people go to a silver shops that does some polishing like coating that lasts for way much longer. Mine gets rusty fairly fast. maybe it has something to do with the silver grade, my ring never gets rusty while my necklace does get rusty maybe in a month or so.

It's going great, cleaned it perfectly .. but another guy suggested to find a jewelry store and apply some coating on it - rhodium plating - that would makes it shiny for years to come and i searched for it and found it common, but i think it needs a specialized place in that. all and all for me, i will stick to shining it with the toothpaste :D !
